Employment at sugarloaf is and always has been, a terrible situation. They are fine with employee to employee discrimination, they're supportive of bullying and slave-like treatment. The only thing that matters is being a brown noser and a suckup, working hard and getting lots done is never enough, you will be criticized, you will be worked like a mule and your feelings will never matter. The only way a job at sugarloaf can turn into something good for a person is if you personally know someone in high up management, or have family connections. Regular people get treated as disposable "workers" getting ridiculous lists of horrible grunt work tasks and even after a full day of work and effort you will still be criticized anyway. It's like being constantly harassed for just simply doing your job instead of being a brown noser how they want you to be. Regular amounts of work are never enough. It's like they act and think like they're paying you in gold so they expect insane amounts of effort from each person instead of just regular reliability and safety like jobs anywhere else expect. When you're sick they expect you back to work after 1-2 days off. Even after all the horrible things from the corona meltdown sugarloaf is still a merciless employment especially when it comes to suffering from viruses that you GET FROM BEING THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE. You WILL get sick numerous times from working there, and you will NOT be treated kindly with any mercy while fighting the viruses you get...
Read moreI have been coming to sugarloaf every summer since I've been born. The view of Sugarloaf at it's base is phenomenal and the mountain range behind the parking lot is also a beautiful view. Winter is very busy I'm sure but the summer is not too busy at all. I just happened to hit it right this time when I went up there was some festival going on there so, all of the restaurants and stores were open and they were offering summer sports up there like ziplining, segway tours etc.... and they also had the large 4 person ski lift open for scenic rides which I thought was excellent! Everytime I've been up there, there's only been one restaurant open if that and only 1 store open and nothing else so I'm glad I hit it when everything was open. There is a nice hotel and it does have a pool and there is the village at sugarloaf where there are shops and restaurants. I can't speak for any of the restaurants up there because every time I've been up there none of them have been open to eat at until now, except the only problem was, I ate before I went up there because I didn't know they were open so, I wasn't hungry enough to try any of them. There's always next year! Take a trip to Sugarloaf Mountain in the Winter, Fall or Summer. I'm sure you'll love it and the pretty scenery as...
Read moreIt was mine and my wife’s first time here, and we were excited because we heard such great things about the mountain. Maybe it was an off weekend or something, but over the course of two days, none of the blues or blacks across the mountain were groomed. While I don’t mind occasionally going down a mogul run, it’s not my thing most of the time. Wasn’t really a fan of it being our only choice on every run that wasn’t a green. Ended up spraining my ankle, and when I went to the hospital later that day I saw three other people from the mountain. Not usually a good sign. Afterwards I looked online to see if they groom regularly, and they say they do so maybe this weekend was an outlier. But there are plenty of other mountains that have SOME groomed trails every weekend, so I’ll stick to those. Not a lot of chairlifts either, so there can be congestion. Other than this one bad experience, I see a lot of potential in the mountain. The trails would be a lot when groomed, and the views are great! The terrain parks are nice as well, and it looks like there are some nice glades for those that like that. Overall, I can see the appeal, but idk if it was a bad weekend but to me it’s weird to not have any groomed intermediate or...
