In this comprehensive review, I wish to express my sincere appreciation for the exceptional condition of the golf course. Having had the privilege of playing there on three occasions, each experience has been highly memorable. The fairways are aesthetically pleasing and meticulously maintained, presenting a challenge due to their compactness. The greens are firm yet in excellent condition. The range, despite its slightly awkward setup, offers a convenient option with pre-dispensed range balls, eliminating the need for a machine that dispenses a fixed number of balls. It is designed to accommodate players’ entire bag practice with many flags set at different ranges. However, I must address a concerning issue that has been observed on each visit. It appears that there is a consistent pattern of staff members in the pro shop exhibiting an unpleasant attitude. While I have encountered members who assure me that not all staff members share this behavior, I expect premium service from a course that charges premium golf fees. Upon reviewing other comments, I have discovered that I am not alone in experiencing this issue with the staff in the pro shop. Every aspect of business affects the organization’s bottom line. While excellent course conditions can be achieved, poor customer service can lead to an unpleasant experience, potentially spiraling out of control. I have played courses where the club pro had tour experience and could have been arrogant, but instead, they were humble and respectful. I assume the individual in the side office was either the pro or the superintendent, most likely the pro given that I overheard him discussing lessons. Regardless of their position, they should maintain a positive attitude towards patrons, as their compensation is directly related to the quality of service provided. Staff members have reportedly left the course due to dissatisfaction with the pro’s behavior. If the owners are aware of these issues and their impact, they should take appropriate action to address them. This golf course would rank among my top three if not for the overall lack of professionalism in the pro shop. If I knew the pro’s name, I would not hesitate to address the concerns raised, as there are multiple reports and witnesses supporting the claims. Google reviews highlighting the professionalism, attitude, and overall quality of the pro and the pro shop are a major concern when looking at the price you pay to play there. The board or directors or owner’s should consider who greets patrons upon entering the pro shop. In my profession, I encounter diverse individuals daily, and research suggests that people form quick impressions, often within the first few minutes of meeting someone. These initial impressions can be highly influential and challenging to change. This could explain the 4.2 rating for the course based on reviews because the course quality is outstanding and it should have a higher rating. In conclusion, if you avoid the individuals mentioned above, you will find that the course is impressive and well-maintained....
Read moreThis morning I called the pro shop and specifically asked if the range was open to the public. I was told yes by Matt. I had previously purchased and hand full of tokens for the ball machine on the range. On my walk to range, I encounter the “pro” who told me I was required to check in to the pro shop before going on the range. I explained that I had tokens and was planning to use the ball machine. He barked, “We don’t do that anymore. You are now required to purchase a range package” and promptly drove off. There was no offer to explain the pricing or any offer to refund the tokens I had just purchased a few months before. There was literally one person on the range at the time. For a club that features 80% dead greens and is clearly struggling, its frustrating to have your money refused. I drove to the the frog where the staff was happy to assist me. I’d recommend anyone in the area...
Read moreFairways in great shape, 5 stars greens are hit and miss 2 stars. Still trying to recover from the black plague on a lot of them. Still a great course to play. Greens are coming around as of late. They have been working hard on them. Should be back to a 5 star by next spring. 10/11/2021 Needed to update the course- they have had a rough go of it the past year but things are starting to look much better. Played 10/8/21 and the greens overall are about 95% . Only a few spots here and there that are still filling in. But I would say things are about back to normal. Mid Spring early Summer next year will be awesome if they keep going...
