I am a General Education major at JALC. I'm focusing my studies on art as I'm planning on going on to art school. Overall, the quality of education I have received has been phenomenal. Every class I have taken, the professors has been personally invested in making sure their students truly understand the content and are not just memorizing it for the exams. I recommend Carrol for history, Constantine for art history, and Tucker for any art class. A good friend of mine is a Music Major and he says his musical education is of very high quality and the program is very rigorous. Honestly, I love attending John A. It most definitely deserves it's ranking as one of the Top Community Colleges...
Read moreJohn A. Logan college is by far an overrated, mediocre community college! When I was a student there, I didn't like the atmosphere of the school & the vibes it gave! JALC lacks diversity, inclusion & doesn't have a lot of good programs except for nursing & trade... If you go online & look at Illinois's top 10 community colleges, this school is nowhere on the list & this school also ranks as a C average college!🙄💯👎🏽 Another thing too, I didn't like the fact that I had to drive to a country, racist town like Carterville everyday to go to school! I never attended here but applied years ago and was accepted however; I attended University of Phoenix instead due to timing of receiving this schools letter of acceptance. I had just enrolled a week earlier with Phoenix. I am thinking of taking continued classes in the future but my concern is reduction of staff will the quality of the program be affected?
