Pavey's Grocery — Local services in Carthage

Carthage's small town grocery, convenience and food store, actually the only store in town, and they try and carry a variety of items so you don't have to drive 10 miles to a large store. I have visited here several times, and they carry a small variety of groceries, all the main things you need in a pinch, along with hot pizza, sandwiches, snacks, candy, soda pop, and other ready to eat food items.

The employees are friendly, helpful and appreciate your patronage. Quick in and out service, and prices are slightly higher than a large store, but for the convenience, it's worth paying a little more and saving the difference in fuel, ha. And the food is great if in town and needing a quick...

New owners. Not friendly. Can,t speak English. I,m afraid our little country gas station/grocery/hot food store that we have come to love is a thing of the past. I did not think i was prejudice but it annoys me that Indians who don,t speak any english are buying up all the gas stations and by the way.....raising the prices and selling old outdated products. Lady at register is very rude and argued with me over a two dollar scratch off. She can't remember anything and lied and said I didn't when when I did. Then when I walked out she started talking crap about me to customers. While I was in the store she was telling a customer someone was an a**hole and the customer was whoever she was talking about a cousin.
