I’ve done two hikes so far with Hiking In the Rockies JUST because of how accommodating it is. Robin was my host for both trips and she’s a plethora of historical knowledge and awesome CO fun facts while on a hike. Another reason I loved the hikes so much was because of the thoughtful stop spots. Whether it was for a drink of water or snack break or an AWESOME scenic view, she was always detailed oriented and thoughtful enough to think of these things on our hikes. The energy was always really fun throughout the groups and the I can’t wait to join future hike trips with Hiking In the Rockies. Oh! And this too I loved that there were cohost which were also superrrrr sweet and fun and a great back up just in case someone couldn’t keep up with the group and needed a slower pace to adjust. I love having options and just being free to be myself. Literally 5/5 stars and would recommend to future family and friends. This last hike we went up 11,700 ft of elevation and the view from the top was EPIC. Picture can’t even do justice...
Read moreWhile I have enjoyed the past couple of days in Colorado exploring Denver, a highlight was this morning’s several-hour guided hike along trails in the Mount Falcon Park, about 45 minutes drive west of the city. While this is only regarded as the foothills to the Rockies, there was snow and it was about 2300 metres (7800 feet) - nearly 1.5 miles or 2.4 Km - above sea level! Although this is regarded as a high altitude desert because of the lack of regular rainfall, it was beautiful and quite wonderful to spend time outside a city. It was made even more special because of our guide Brian, from Denver’s Top Guided Hiking Tours, who was efficient, well informed and friendly, which made it a fun as well as refreshing hike. Brian made everyone in our group feel welcome and tailored the hike to our collective capacity, while making sure we still saw some beautiful vistas and took fabulous photographs. This was an unforgettable experience that is not to be missed if you are visiting Denver. I...
Read moreMy friends and I went on a group hiking tour of about 10 people. We were all socially distanced and wore our mask the entire time of the hike for safety measures. We met up at this cute little coffee shop/bistro that had thee most delicious scones and oatmeal I ever had and we were able to get a discount off of our food thanks to Robin (the hiking tour host). Rose, our tour guide met us there and she was very bubbly and lively. She was literally the perfect person for the trip. I say this more so because I had a hard time some parts of the hike. THIS TRIP DOES REQUIRE SOME LEG MUSCLE but it was not hard at all (I was just very out of shape lol). Once we reached our highest point of the hike I was absolutely astonished and cried. The scene was so beautiful that I just wanted to sit in the presence of nature in peace and quiet. This was surely an adventure I will always remember and wish...
