I am EXTREMELY disappointed and hurt of the way this business treated me. I lost my furbaby of 10 years four weeks ago. My heart and soul have been shattered beyond belief. Our 12 year old Pomeranian is devastated. Heās barely eating, heās been pining away as they were inseparable for 10 years. After searching for three and a half weeks, searching thru hundreds of adoption agencies and looking for one that seemed that might be a good fit, I inquired about him. I sent in an application. I never heard a word back. I reached out, only to get an email back that they checked on my residence thru satellite pictures and told me they had a problem with my backyard. They also mentioned that the dog was already being processed for adoption. They JUDGED me by an image and didnāt even have the decency to contact me to let me know. Talk about a low blow. As if I donāt feel hurt enough already and have been crying day in and day out. All I wanted was a chance to meet the dog to see if heād be a good fit to us. Now heās going to someone else and I still have a shattered soul. Thank you for making my pain and suffering worse by JUDGING me without actually meeting me. Talk about rude. I understand that these agencies have to be careful where they let these pets go to, but if youāre willing to pay these outrageous adoption fees, plan a meet and greet, fill out inquiries and applications, just to be JUDGED AND IGNORED, is completely ridiculous. One agency actually DENIED my inquiry because they want the pet to go to a home with kids that are ten years old or older. What the heck??? To look at thousands of animals who only want to be loved and they play JUDGE AND JURY, and discriminate someone without even meeting them, is just plain wrong. Thousands upon thousands of animals are euthanized daily across this country, while they demand ASTRONOMICAL adoption fees, home and yard inspections, inquiries, applications, meet and greets, three references, verification of veterinarians, pet records and why you want to get a pet. Itās easier to adopt a human child than it is a shelter animal. Maybe other people have had better experiences then I have, but I am sick and tired of being judged just to give another furbaby a loving home. I think they would rather euthanize than adopt. I hope the dog that I fell in love with that furry face and sad eyes, found his forever home, because it sure wasnāt with me. Thanks for breaking my heart and not even giving me the chance to love again.
In response to YOUR nasty attitude, I too, am glad you chose to adopt him to someone else, as I would NEVER do business with such uppty, obnoxious, rude and judgmental people such as yourself. I know plenty of people who live in rural areas and farms where there are junk cars and farm equipment. It doesnāt affect the love and compassion that their animals receive. We happily have adopted a five year old dog, who is loving his new life and is laying in my lap, happy, healthy, warm and content. I do appreciate the work shelters do. But by your low reviews, apparently itās not just me that sees your nasty attitude towards customers. Messy yard or not, my dear, my dogs are happy, healthy and well taken care of. We all canāt afford mansions and groomed yards, but we can give a shelter animal another chance to live a happy and healthy life. Unless an overly judgmental person decides that someone isnāt perfect, such as yourself. I bet youāre the head of your neighborhood HOA, ruling others with an iron fist and intimidating attitude. If thatās how you treat your customers, I bet you treat the animals worse. A compassionate person you most certainly are not. Maybe YOU should provide ME with video of YOUR residence, so I can decide whether or not to do business with YOUā¦.By the way, not everyone is in such a position where they can afford a 4000 sq ft home, two huge garages and an out building thatās just as large as the house. I too, feel I made the right decision as NOT to do business with your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOur experience with this rescue is very mixed. We met one of their dogs coincidentally while we were out over the weekend and fell in love. Immediately submitted the application, made contact with the foster, and set up a phone call as well as a meet and greet. This process was easy, relatively fast, and professional.
The foster advised us when we were setting up the greet, that if we were interested it would be a good idea to do it ASAP as they were still accepting applications. We cancelled appointments and moved plans around to make it work, just for it to be cancelled by the foster with very short notice. We were understanding, and asked the foster if our meet and greet would still be first as it was the soonest at that point. We waited a day or so for response, where we were basically told that we would not be given the opportunity to adopt at the meet and greet and they would decide on their own which family is best suited.
I was under the impression when doing research on website adoption info, reviews, etc that it is first come first serve in the sense that your application is approved, you jump on the greet quickly and you can tie the knot there. We were not given that opportunity. By the time the foster was able to reschedule the greet, other applications had been accepted and it ended up not working out. Basically, we were forced out of our early meet and greet, and a family who either applied or set up their meet and greet after us ended up getting her.
The foster was on the phone with family during the greet, and we felt awkward as she was distracted and it made it difficult to ask questions.
We made our peace with the chance of not getting her early on, of course, but once we were only a couple hours away from the meet and greet where we were going to adopt her we got very excited and figured it was a done deal. We left work early to get the supplies and house set up for her. The fact that the rug was pulled out from under us has left us heartbroken.
We are happy the pup found a forever home. This rescue definitely has the animals best interests at heart, and Iām sure it is full of dedicated amazing people, but next time when we are ready to adopt we will find a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy experience with this organization is mixed. I had an amazing experience with the foster parent of the pup. My application was submitted, references checked and I met the pup all in one day! The foster was very helpful in questions and even provided a small bag of food and some toys. Can't say enough good things of the foster. The negative side is that when I picked up Heidi I feel I should have received her medical records immediately. She was just spayed and has a bit of a cough and I would like to get her to the vet asap and also know about where she is in her shots. I was told that the organization is made up of volunteers who primarily do paperwork on just Monday and Tuesday so I need to wait a week to get the records. I did receive the microchip info. As a first time puppy owner I just think the medical records should be received when the dog is...
