Quick version- ok spot for a 2 night stay. Big level site and friendly employee. I’d stay there again. Long version- I’ll start with the good- convenient location for visiting Congaree NP. Pull thru site was large and level. The man we interacted with was nice. Small nuances that aren’t really a huge deal but added up so worth mentioning- there was several cigarette butts and bottle caps on the ground. The fire pit had trash in it. Fortunately we didn’t plan on using our fire pit because it’s basically in our neighbors site. And If they were positioned more to the back of their site we would’ve been having a fire a foot from their slide. The side yard area is made up of gravel, beach sand? and random patches of old football turf. Not the end of the world by any means, it’s just a little odd. Coming in there was signs on the main road and also at the turn for the park so we knew where we were going. Nice touch. However, once you’re in the park there was no “office this way” signs so we literally just drove through the park, almost to the back and got out of the truck when a guy in a golf cart came over. So signage there would be nice. I see someone else mentioned this in their review quite a while ago. Random notes: The park is very much still under construction. I’m not sure if they plan on doing any more work to the sites to make them look nicer/more uniform but you overall you can tell this place is going to be nice when finished. The website talks about privacy. The trees between the sites are small. I don’t know what kind of trees they are but I’m sure they’ll grow over time? So I’m sure in time there will be privacy but right now it’s pretty open. I was surprised there was no cable since most ”resorts” like this have cable.

Negative reviews are going to happen, and calling and harrassing my husband to have us change our experience will not work. This park is still very much in construction. Some of the sites are just not ready yet and should not be available to book. Pros- it's right off the main way. Great for a quick overnight. Yes, big rigs can fit here, affordable, full hookups. Cons- very UNLEVEL sites(as you can see in photo, our jacks are lifted on one side to where our tires and entire side came up), ground wash outs, the area ia built up by sand and the crushed rock top is unstable, no dedicated check-in area, we pulled to the front and waited until someone came out to find us, poor road signage. sand/gravel roadways. I saw it most in sites 35-40(on the left coming in from the roadway, as these sites sit on a gradual downhill and have been poorly built up and are no way level, the entire site leans downhill. We had to move our 43ft 5th wheel due to the site being washed out and un level, one entire side lifted right off the ground. I am just not impressed. The saving factor was when we called, the attendant had another site we could move to, and I found that one acceptable, we were able to build ourselves up with blocks and stayed the night. I want to thank the park owners for the construction of a new rv resort, as many full-time families depend on them. Hopefully, you can view this as constructive criticism and stop harassing people who leave reviews.

We stayed two nights at Big Rig Friendly RV Resort in West Columbia, SC, and it absolutely lived up to its name! Our spacious pull-through site had both gravel and reclaimed astroturf - such a thoughtful touch that really helps keep mud and mess out of the RV. From the moment we arrived, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. A friendly gentleman guided us to our site, and the team even checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. The name says it all—Big Rig Friendly and genuinely friendly, too. Access is a breeze - just three miles from the I-77/I-26 interchange and only 10 minutes from downtown Columbia. There’s plenty to do nearby, with restaurants, shopping, museums, and golf courses all close at hand. The resort itself is packed with great amenities: two pools (one of which we enjoyed), four brand-new pickleball courts, full hookups at every site, buddy sites available, a well-kept dog park, and even a dog wash station. Our pups gave it two paws up! This was perfect for a short stay, but we’d absolutely return for a longer visit. It’s great to know we’ve found a reliable spot that’s both easy and enjoyable for big rigs like ours. Highly recommend!

This was a convenient location for our two-night stay to visit Congaree National Park. I would think it would also be convenient for an overnight to break up a trip.

Site number 45. Pull-through FHU. 50/30/20 amp, pedestal tall enough for watchdog to clear ground. 4" threaded sewer with threaded cap. Well compacted fine gravel pad more than long enough for coach and car, and then some. Depending on exactly where I pulled up, site was anywhere from a little low in rear to a little low in front, and was generally about 1° low on the right. I picked a spot where basically I was level front to rear and even though it was 1.1° low to the right, I was able to auto-level with no issues. Stone fire pit, wooden picnic table. There’s some Astroturf on the Door side of the coach, which is actually really nice because it gives you a place to wipe your feet as you go into the coach and you don’t track dust from the well compacted gravel of the pad. Our site has a tree that’s maybe 20 feet tall so it’s really more decorative than to provide any shade. Site is wide enough to be able to extend the slides on both sides and the awning and still have room to walk around the coach, not a whole lot of room, but enough. Water flow was 4.2 gallons per minute, pressure is good. Easy on off from interstate 26. It really is big rig friendly. We were in what I assume is the area designated for transient guests. The majority of the sites in the campground appear to be long-term sites that have a bit more spacing and privacy.

Escorted to site. Packet ready when we arrived. Four top loader washers three dollars per load. Four front load dryers two dollars per load. And then two other dryers two dollars per load. All of the machines take quarters Nice new restroom facility, commode needed cleaning late in the afternoon. Showers were OK. One accessible shower, two regular showers, two commodes. Four nice, new pickleball courts. Extensive weight room. Community room. Pool. Playset.

They wet down the roads to keep the dust down.

Verizon 1 bar 5G, 6.27 Mbps down, 0.02 Mbps up AT&T 12.14 Mbps up, 1.73 Mbps down Campground WiFi: 19.26 Mbps down, 3.88 Mbps up

No road noise, but the campground is under the flight path of an airport so there is a moderate amount of large jet traffic.

At $89.10 per night after Good Sam the price...

Our family has been traveling across and around the country since April with our 26ft travel trailer. Big rig, friendly RV park is by far one of the nicest places we have stayed! To start off with it was torrential down pouring, and a very kind gentleman met us out at our vehicle instead of making us get out of the car to come into the office! He was super helpful with getting us to the correct spot and the easiest way possible. He was very excited about showing us around and making sure we knew where to find and how to use all the amenities. He even made sure that we got change for the laundry before the office closed! The laundry facility was neat, tidy, and clean with a folding table, chairs and a video game for the kids (and my partner) to play. The workout room was an extreme pleasant surprise! It was clean & well equipped. The equipment was mostly in good working order except for one treadmill. The bathrooms and showers were clean and spacious. My only complaint is that the water did not get hot enough for me. it wasn’t cold by any means it just wasn’t as hot as I’d like…but it did stay warm throughout all three of us showering. All of the spaces for the RVs seemed huge, neat and tidy with picnic tables and the pool looked amazing although we only stayed one night and since it was raining and thunderstorming we didn’t get a chance to use it . Our dogs absolutely loved the dog park! It was also clean and well-maintained. We Chose a camping spot next to a covered area, right near the main office building which was really convenient, especially during crazy rainy weather! Everyone at the office was so kind and helpful! We called the morning we were supposed to leave and asked for a late check out, and they granted it with pleasure and were so laid back and kind about it that it really made our day start off wonderfully because I was able to cook a nice big breakfast for the family before we got on the road. We will absolutely be staying here again and again as we live in Virginia and have family in Florida. It’s a perfect stop through on the way and hope to stay for a few days...
