This is the best local butchery/meat market out there. I’ve had local market cuts and products from all over the state- from Ville Platte to Lafayette, Scott, Breaux Bridge, all over. I was one of those guys who thought my hometown butcher made the best smoked sausage in the state. I no longer feel that way. Louisiana Blues rocked my world, made me question my loyalty to my hometown, and makes me drive an hour just to get meat for my family. They have the best smoked sausage and other traditionally cajun cuts in the game right now. And yes, reader, it’s even better than the sausage you’re currently thinking that there’s no way they can beat.

Aside from smoked meats, their cuts are well butchered, trimmed excellently, and of high quality at a fair price. Though you may be able to find a cheaper brisket or ribeye at an Aldi, Albertsons, or some other market, you won’t find one of this quality at the same or lower price.

Finally, in a move that I did not expect coming even after they blew my mind with their other products, I have to say that this is the ONLY store or market that I will ever purchase pre-seasoned meat from.
