2 customers at the meat counter, and 6 employees, yet I had to wait over 5 minutes for assistance, and the employee did not listen and gave me something I didn't ask for, and when I brought this to his attention, he just slammed t down,and correctly wrapped the meat I asked for. The employee at the register was too busy chatting with another employee, and totally ignored me, and an employee had to tell her she had a customer, he was very apologetic and nice. Fareway Grocery on South Main in Cedar Falls, IA. is clean and well maintained. Meat counter is awesome. Picked up thick cut Cowboy bone-in Ribeye steaks tonight for $9.99 a pound. Good deal on good steaks. Update 10/28/2023: Tonight we picked up a huge Porterhouse steak for $13.99 per pound and a nice 3.5 Bread and Butter Roast. Grabbed a nice head of cabbage, small yellow potatoes, green bell pepper and baby carrots. Fareway has always been the little grocery store that could. you can tell they have high standards because they are always clean and generally speaking well-managed. This one is no exception. It’s a small store so you’re not going to get full line grocery store assortment but most people obviously know that.
