Dear Victor & Genevieve and Olinger Staff,

Hello! It is Jeanette Lucero the wife of Andy Lucero.

I cannot truly express to you the full gratitude of all that you have done to celebrate Andy’s life and his death.

The entire Olinger team was caring and touching on the most sacred meaningful moments of his life as he so beautifully honored. It was a real... hands on... and a spiritual gift… that you gave in representing Andy…and who he was!

I was most thankful to have the Victor & Genevieve as my guide in helping me through one of the most difficult times of my life. The entire Olinger staff gave their expertise and caring touch as a friend and a family... that I just met.

I will be thankful to the love and the care that you… personally, gave to me and to the entire family. The services were planned to personally, honor Andy's life through his religious beliefs, the story of his life, prayers and the final celebration of his life. The priest, speakers, music and photo screen was magically composed and shown against the natural beauty of the window looking west toward the mountains. Although sad…it honored Andy in the most meaningful story of who he was in life. The comments from the guest were that... they have never seen a service so beautiful. The final toast was a surprise to the guests and allowed us all to celebrate his life!

Every person that contributed in celebrating Andy’s life could not believe how beautiful it was! They had never seen a funeral service, honoring a person, so well presented!

The ofrenda of Andy... was him... all of the way. The exhibit and alter was so well arranged. It surrounded Andy's life in the mountains and his many personal items and photos that showed his story! It was so fun loving with good memories. Although, it was sad for him to be gone... we were able to see his life as he lived and share the memories that we all had of him!

I thank you from the deepest part of my heart and the family also thanks you.

In closing…

I also appreciate the December tribute to all of the people who have passed on this last year. It helped ...so much ….to know that you are still celebrating their lives and as they move on. It was beautiful!

I loved the Crystal Christmas Tree with the small crystals hearts, teardrops and flowers to remind us of the spirits that will remain with us forever. I have my tear drop hanging in the south window where the light shines into the room with his rainbow spirit!

Andy was buried at Mount Lindo in Morrison…I know that he is where he should be. He is on the top of the mountains that he loved. We can share the same sky, sun, moon and stars. I will remember that the message was that given to us all December 13th "Without the sun ..we will not see the light of day and…without the dark of night that we will not see the moon and the stars.

With this spiritual message ...We can all look up and see the glowing Holy Cross on the mountain and remember his beautiful spirit that he gave to this earth. The earth will embrace him and also me...when I join him.

When Andy & I decided to make our final arrangements with Olinger, it gave us a great comfort knowing that we knew where we would have our final resting place. We were also comforted to know that we would be with the guidance of the Olinger organization.

I cannot begin to say enough about how wonderful the staff at Olinger Chapel Hill and Olinger Mount Lindo were. David, Wrayann and their teams were gracious, compassionate, extremely detailed and handled everything leading up to the last detail of the burial and memorial services for my parents exceptionally. This was a very difficult time for us with needing to bury both of our parents and the fact that we were planning everything from South Carolina made things a bit harder. However, David & Wrayann went above and beyond to make every arrangement necessary on my behalf, advised us wisely & compassionately, and kept frequent and open communication with all necessary personnel and myself so I didn’t wonder about anything. There were many options on how to plan the funeral that I felt at peace with the decisions that we made. David was so professional, knowledgeable, gracious & kind and I truly enjoyed working with him. He made sure all staff were on the same page and that all details and plans were executed on the day of the burial and the following day at the memorial service. The Mountain chapel at Olinger Chapel Hill in Centennial was a beautiful place to hold the burial ceremony and Olinger set up everything so perfectly that it brought tears to my eyes. The cemetery at Mount Lindo is breathtaking and peaceful and it was everything I wanted for my parents final resting place. Wrayann was very professional, sweet & helpful and was so nice to work with in making burial arrangements. While there was so much to appreciate with all that went into all the planning, one thing that was so helpful was the fact that Olinger took care of putting together a personalized Life Story table for my parents. This was a table at the memorial service that showcased all the sweet characteristics of my parents personalities and their lives. It was such a meaningful touch to have that and huge relief not to worry about having to do that myself the day of the memorial service. Anyway, I could go on and on about what a wonderful experience we had with Olinger Chapel Hill but bottom line is that I would without a doubt recommend them to anyone looking for assistance with end of life preparations for a loved one or in future planning.
