The parking attendant was more concerned with giving me their long list of rules and regulations than with telling me where I had to go to verify my online QR code to get the ticket. We went the whole opposite way and then we had to walk back down and go to the ticket booth so I think that was super weird. Place was a tad bit overboard not letting you take a small clutch purse or attached fanny pack in with you car keys in it….I get that they need rules but they put you through a metal detector which goes off for a belt buckle. I was made to leave my tiny pack that was on my belt in the car and I’m a female mind you…. and my car keys were in it so then I had to trust that my keys wouldn’t fall out of a hoodie pocket. I just really thought this was weird. That said, the haunted attraction overall had some really nice props, but the hillbilly theme is kinda overdone and worn out to me. It would’ve been a lot better if we didn’t get stuck in a group with five strangers who basically ran through the attraction as my kid and I were trying to actually take our time and enjoy the props. There were a couple times when I was actually startled by actors that jumped out, but all in all, I guess maybe because it was the last night the workers were kinda tired of it and wanted to wrap it up. I think they did a nice job overall….but again the hillbilly theme…… I wouldn’t go back next year. I would drive further and try somewhere else. We bought some kettle corn, which was 10 bucks for a bag. Kinda overpriced, but who doesn’t want kettle corn? Especially since I didn’t know the price ahead of time…. I kinda got it for...
Read moreWe were not permitted to take any pictures, however we did have a good time. The wait was about an hour after arriving and everything from parking, to buying tickets, to getting through the forest was very well laid out and organized. The hardest part was finding the location. There are no signs on the road to let you know your close or where to turn, so be sure to have your GPS on. The workers were all friendly and helpful, they really made you feel welcome. It is a long walk through the forest and attractions so be prepared with good foot ware. If you have difficulties walking or getting around this is not for you. The creators have a little bit of everything from just about every haunted attraction I've been to all rolled into this one. Whatever it is your afraid of, it is sure to be in this feature somewhere to scare you. If you go, be sure to pay close attention to the chickens! They will have a big surprise you will not be expecting! Definitely recommend, totally worth the price of admission. Leave your personal belongings in the car, there is a metal detector, and no lighters or things like that are permitted. They will hold them and you pick them up when exit the attraction. This is for everyone's safety, so do not yell at...
Read moreSo let me email my 4 star review. If u were going there to be scared I would have to give it a 2. The reason being is 1) there was two many lights on (although this was part of the scenery, and 2) (2/3rds pf the reason) the actors were too firendly and not that good at scaring people. However, in terms of scenery and how well put together it is I would give it a 5 maybe a 4. It was just so well done u actually felt like u were in a cemetery, circus, ect. This on top of the combo of the actors being pretty funny/fun and the soft scare makes it a soild 4.
P.s. If your not scared easily and looking for something super scary, DONT go here. Additionally I found that it only took 20-25 mins to go thru it.
P.s.s. I should note that in reality, and to be fare to this place. I was personally jumping out of my skin most of the times. So u could dump it up to a 3 for scare, cause most people are going to get a good scare or...
