Have been going there for over 40 years. WILL NEVER GO BACK. The new owner is a nut! Came over to make us move our trucks from the spots that we have been parking at for 5 years....almost weekly. I told him that the two vehicles were together. He went to the couple behind us, who were all set up, to make them move so we could back up a row. We were already in the third row from the woods!!! The couple was in disbelief. This owner wanted us to move back one row right IN FRONT OF a huge motorhome parked lengthwise by the woods with their canopy set up and numerous chairs set up. They would not be able to see...and there was around ten of them...and my son knew them. The place was packed and I had no option but to ask for a refund and leave. He said go see Bryan for your refund....two trucks leaving because of this butt-hurt owner who had no clue about his own business! I told him he should be fired. He drove his golfcart up close to me and yelled " I AM the owner"! My son took a step in between and I replied "Then they need a new owner"! He got pissed and sped off in his little golfboy cart to harrass over 30 other people. They had to park so close to each other that they couldnt fully open their doors. Hey....its not OUR FAULT that he screwed up and put Jurassic Park on the small lot. What an incompetent fool. We left and went to Regal to see it in 3D. Highly recommend movies in 3D! AMAZING! So...goodbye to Starlight Drive in Butler, PA after over 40 years of patronage. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. THE NEW OWNER IS TOTALLY INCOMPETENT AND WILL RUIN YOUR NIGHT WITH ALL OFF HIS RULES AND POWER-TRIP MENTALITY! Read moreWe purchased tickets in advance for the movie twister and showed up an hour ahead of time only to be in a line of cars about a half mile or more from the entrance. By the time we got to the driveway for the drive in it was 9:35. We tried to call the phone number on the website, however it was only pre-recorded messages stating the main features started at 8:50. We still had another 20 minutes until we would reach the ticket booth, so we decided since the movie we wanted to see would have been on for 55 minutes at that point that we would not waste anymore time. I reached out to the drive in via there facebook page and messenger, only for them to say well if you had went to the ticket booth you would have found out that we started the movies 15 minutes later because of traffic, and you would have only missed ten minutes of the feature. They even said that the traffic wasn't normal, but that with the current features it had been happening. My question is, why would you have put that on your website or media for people, so that they could, 1. have a heads up for traffic, and 2. let them know the features would be starting later? No apologies to us for missing the movie, no offers for us to come again. We had never been to this theater and obviously will not be back. Read moreWell when the new owners took over I thought there was a big improvement, however , the concession stand cooks, food preparation is really bad especially last couple of times, food is usually Luke warm , ordered a milkshake as did my daughter in law and apparently they do not know how to make, runny, no taste,was liked drinking milk, i took it back and girl at counter said they’d make a new one , well I waited , never got it, and asked again, then they send manager out instead ! Finally was given a new one a little better but quickly turned to liquid , my daughter in law became upset because hers was the same, she said something and watched the girl make a new one , looked right at her put it down and started cleaning the counter? WTH! Arrogance and attitude has no place in any employment capacity, hot dogs are basically cold, French fries mushy and greasy I can go on, on customer took his French fried back because they poured so much salt in them, no excuses, it wasn’t that busy that you can’t do things correctly , Everyone makes mistakes but this is ongoing lately, owner needs to be there and observe !
