We had a blast on the Rogue jet boat adventure and Discovery Park! (3 adults, 4 kids age 1-9) Totally blown away. The jet boat ride was short but so fun and BEAUTIFUL! We saw deer, a heron, raccoons on the bank, and drove through a gorgeous narrow part of the river with a canopy of trees. The boat provided lifejackets to fit all 4 kids. The discovery park was incredible. We rented a paddle boat ($15/30mins) for a couple hours which my kids loved. We all loved going down the inflatable slide and playing on the floating play structure. The lake temp was perfect for our 90° day and we all swam a bunch. We were there all day (11-5) and ran out of time to do all the things we wanted to (missed out on fishing, volleyball, cornhole) A few mins on the playground and a few mins searching for arrowheads was all we had time for. We were pleasantly surprised by the food. Had hamburgers, hot dogs, and a Greek gyro. Very fairly priced ($8-13) and tasty with fresh ingredients! Finished off with ice cream bars for all! The littlest member of our party got a nap in a hammock in the shade and happily crawled around in the green grass.
We arrived at 10:45 for our 11:15 departure and the check-in person didnât arrive until 11:15 with the boats, so we did have 30 mins waiting on the riverâs edge wondering if we were in the right spot, since weâd never been here before. My only feedback is that it would be nice to have a staff person there at check-in a little sooner to answer questions. We got loaded quickly and it worked out fine!
The kids said it was the highlight of their summer and are asking when we...
Read more7.26.25 Epic Day on the Rogue and Pilot Riley was AmAzInG! From the moment we got on the boat âdryâ to getting off the boat âwetâ, the beauty, history, views, wildlife, stories, humor and splashy spins (donât worry, they come with a âheads upâ warning) brought a level of laughter and enjoyment for our group of 17. Yep, we howled and whooped like kids, we are of course more âmatureâ kids with some gray hair/no hair âwink, winkâ! Photo ops were plentiful! Stop at Discovery Island was refreshingly nice. Cold beverages, tasty food, lots of shady areas and cool misters. Great swimming aaaand they are brilliant to keep their clean, yes clean outhouses in the shade! Though we didnât retain the names of all the staff we encountered, they were memorable by their smiles, kindness and made us feel appreciated just by being there. Best decision to spend 2.5hrs on the Rogue. Highly recommend Rogue Jet Boat Adventures, weâll definitely be back to enjoy this adventure again! Donât forget the sunscreen and a dry bag or oversized ziplock boat bag to keep your items dry and water to drink, it can get a bit warm/hot when the boat ride pauses to enjoy scenery and hear the history/story of the area. Oh, and the $10 parking is reasonable and remember, the small contribution is what keeps our parks clean, open and maintained for ALL of...
Read moreI found out about Rogue Jet Boat Adventures when I was visiting nearby Touvelle Park. I immediately booked a seat on the tour. It was exhilarating. Effortlessly gliding over the Rogue River's tumultuous rapids and taking in the beauty and the splendor of the Table Rock area, including the occasional Bald Eagle sighting, or gazing upon the beautiful and opulent riverfront estates that our most beloved world renowned celebrities call home was truly a breathtaking experience!
Our jet boat pilot, Taylor, is very knowledgeable about Oregon history and he related a lot of interesting facts to the passengers on board.
When Taylor wasn't educating us, he was terrifying us with his sadistic urge to spin the boat a full 360 degrees at random intervals thoroughly soaking everyone on board. It's the next best thing to plunging in the ice cold river on a hot summer's day. Its a lot safer too.
Rogue Jet Boat Adventures Discovery Tours offers an excursion through the Rogue River Valley that is by turns educational, enlightening and thrilling! The tour lasts for over two hours but the time goes by very quickly. Before you know it, the ride is over and you'll be thinking about going again real soon. I had...
