We had to stop at Jerry Lee's for some Boudin, sausage and to my surprise, Tamales! I am from Georgia, but my husband's fam is from Louisiana and his grandfather always brought us to Jerry Lee's. PaPa is no longer with us, but since we were in town, we had to make a stop here to keep on the tradition. Jerry Lee's is the best! The tamales are also excellent!

We live in Tenn. And anytime we are driving to or through Baton Rouge we stop and get aundoui, smoked and boudan. This time we even got green onion sausage. The number one place they even ship if you need them to.

We were only here for the weekend but we always make a point to come to Jerry Lee's and stock up on some boudin!

Jerry Lee's, an institution in these parts. First of all, some of the nicest people work here, never heard a complaint or cross word from anyone working there. Always eager to help and help you with your decisions (trust me, if you don't have help you are going to walk out of there and need an additional fridge to store everything in that you see.) Great selection of some delicious foods. It goes without saying the boudin is top 5 in the state. They even have cast iron Dutch ovens! I could and have spent hundreds of dollars in one trip. Just a good old fashioned place with great...

This is the BEST boudin east of the Mississippi. I am born and bred cajun raised in the heart of Acadiana, however I know d"good food" is a matter of opinion. So I'll give facts. The boudin is a 50/50 ratio of meat to rice. The meat is Boston butt pork roast (no liver or gizzards or less than desirable parts) seasoned but not very salty nor spicy. Though I can say my wife who is from Kansas DID in fact claim it to be spicy so this is a grey area. Opinion. I suppose that I HAVE been raised on spicy food so it really has to be hot for me...

Any time I'm in this part of Baton Rouge or even if I'm headed to Denham Springs or Central I always make an effort to stop by and get some boudin (which is the best in a 45 minutes drive in any direction)Even after multiple weather events causing a temporary close they always open back up in the same location. I have nothing but respect for a business that chooses to remain part of the community where it was started. And I can say with coming here for close to 30 years I've never had a single bad interaction with any of...
