While visiting this area, you don't want to miss the very large commercial breeding facilities along Audrain Road, there are at least 6 usda breeding facilities in the area. Many will have other businesses on the property, but listen for the dogs. This community has some of the worse puppy mills in the state. Love the stores, and country side and restaurants, but , the rumors of puppy mills and animal abuse is not denied by many and it's a factor that affects my joy of a location and where I choose to spend my money. Even IF not ON the pets themselves, I don't want to support outright abuse and I'm unsure about how much my dollar goes tward that in Amish areas. So proceed...
