This was the worst customer service we have ever had to endure. I filed a formal complaint against Comfort Experts with the BBB & my insurance company to ensure that they will not be contracted to me for future services. Tiffany and Judy that work as the dispatch/reception were rude and unprofessional. I would call multiple times to schedule a single appointment, leave voicemails, and contact through Google Business Chat (GBC), and still never received a call back until the final days. Their voicemail would be full on many occasions. The person on GBC would tell me that someone will contact me later by phone and no one ever would. I still have screenshots of our conversations. In one instance, the person on GBC stated that the receptionist doesn't answer the phone between 3:00pm and 4:30pm because she's picking up children. I understand the situation but this company must understand that I have paid for their services and I expect to have those services rendered; this includes answering the phone during business hours. Comfort Experts closes at 5:00pm, so I called multiple times after 4:30pm to no avail. It took my wife over hour to get a hold of them when the technician (Chris) missed his 4-hour window appointment they had with us. 4-HOUR WINDOW. This was so surprising since they rescheduled the night before to a preferred time for them to show. Their tone of voice would shift from polite when answering the phone to irked and impolite when we would state our property address. My wife overheard one of their dispatch/reception employees making flippant comments about us to her co-worker when we stated our address. For the last 2 weeks, it has been an average of 90 degrees with high humidity in this area and I have family that are vulnerable to the heat right now. I was hoping that the negative reviews were one-offs but now I understand. After reading the review by Alexis Pineiro, I knew to call my insurance to authorize in-town parts purchase for a new compressor and fuses but they needed the technician report. When speaking with Judy after the first visit from the technician, she agreed to send up the report to the insurance by close of business the same day. She stated that she understood our situation and would bypass the 24-48hr report submission time. She didn't submit it. I wouldn't have minded if she hadn't lied and just been honest with me. Once report was sent, I had the insurance confirm that the part was ready for pick up the same day (Thursday) by calling the vendor and they called and confirmed it was. However, Judy said it won't be ready until Monday (Avg 90 degrees). After finally calling me back but I missed it, days after the second visit, my wife returned the call 20 mins later and they had closed our workorder before all the repairs were completed because no answer. I would have gone with someone else in the area after reading the Google reviews but it was too late because this is the company that my insurance had contracted to me. I placed my confidence in Comfort Experts but it seems that they are under staffed, unprofessional, and ill-trained to handle such a contract with the insurance companies. I cannot recommend this company.
REPLY to OWNER: I appreciate the apology, but I have chosen to keep my rating the same because my review highlights weaknesses in your company's customer service. You have multiple reviews here with complaints about your receptionists. They lied to me, insulted my wife, and closed my work order before the work was complete, which delayed the installation of my thermostat. You continue to imply that my thermostat was the reason for delay but it was ordered and delivered within 24-48 hours. If you had left us without AC, I was prepared to take legal action against you and the insurance company if anything were to happen to my family due to the heat. The guys name is Chris, It took him over 4 weeks to replace my compressor and two days after that it froze up. I called the insurance Company who originally sent him out and requested another company take over. The other company came out today and said they are reporting his work to the insurance company. He didn’t replace half the stuff that’s required to be replaced, when you put in a new compressor, this includes the Freon . This company is extremely sketchy. Worst company and worst service. I recommend finding anyone else but them. I will be reporting them for the work they charged my insurance company for that they never completed.
Funny how you reply to these posts but don’t return phone calls. First of all you didn’t replace the Freon, if you did the unit wouldn’t have froze up the way it did. The levels were extremely low. Second, you are suppose to be the professional. I specialize in hearts not hvac systems. If you have a heart attack I can save your life but when it comes to air conditioning systems I trusted you to know what you were doing. It’s YOUR job to let the insurance company know what the problem is. You were called because my hvac system wasn’t working. You diagnosed the problem and you didn’t fix it. You would have had to come back and fix it but you didn’t do what you were suppose to do the first time so I requested to have another company come and take over. The other company couldn’t believe you left it the way you did. Luckily they took lots of pictures to prove what you fixed and didn’t fix. They took pictures of the Freon you so called “replaced.” The day you came to my house you were here for a total of 10 minutes, if that and told us you would be right back. You returned weeks later. Your communication skills are terrible and the fact that you can’t leave a message because your mail box is “full”is a terrible way to run a business. I see Most of us on here have the same exact complaints and yes your mailbox is full! My hvac system hasn’t worked in over 5 weeks, my kids can’t even sleep in their room because it’s so hot. They have came to my home about 5 times and my issue is still not fixed from last summer! I had a time block on Monday and I missed my appointment while I was picking kids up from school which I understand but I called and was told they would be out Wednesday between 1-5. I had someone else pick up my kids and waited for no reason !!! Because I was never rescheduled. So my rental people reached out and are told they won't be able to come out until Monday!? Wow! Now I also called and asked for a call back and I'm still waiting for a call back! UNBELIEVABLE The ac anytime it needs to work IS HOT ! and they keep pumping it with Freon which hasn't worked anytime they do it or if it does for a very short time !!! It is hotter inside my house than outside and my house is uncomfortable and I've been dealing with these people since last summer ! UPDATE : from the original post they have been out to my home 2 more times and still have not fixed my issue. As stated before this company is a joke. I cannot believe a part was ordered for the unit and then a week later it comes in and is still not fixed.
Update: my unit is finally working and working better than when I moved in. I won't take my initial complaint about my wait or how the front office people were to me! They could deff use some skills in customer service ! but I will say Chris came out and was very helpful and nice. I will say once it got to him it was almost immediately taken care of. He even made sure I had air filters. I was angry as mess about how long it was taking but I will say Chris handled it and was professional. If everyone had his customer service skills I think the business would have been better I'm updating my review bc He really did take the time to fix things and to fix the issue so my complaints were not ignored but he took care of the customer and that's all I can ask...
