My wife and I got married in August 2025 in northern New Jersey. We used the Strangers as our wedding band. As the groom, one of my (few) responsibilities in wedding planning was to get the band. I looked around online and listened to countless demos—I saw lots of good bands, and some not so good ones. A friend of mine had recently attended a wedding in the Philly area and said the band was great—that band was the Strangers. I gave them a listen, liked them, and trusted my friend’s recommendation; we booked the Strangers for our wedding. The band was GREAT. We had about 160 people at our wedding, ranging in age from 19 to 90. We are both 27 and most of our friends are about the same age. The band catered to all tastes. Our friends like to party—lots of drinking and dancing. The Strangers absolutely, 150%, met our group where they were and wanted to be. They sounded great, were tons of fun, brought tons of energy, and had a GREAT song selection given our group demographics. My wife did the vast majority of the wedding planning and everything was beautiful, went off without a hitch…but the number one thing that everyone talks about and complimented us on was how good the band was. I get to take credit for something lol. I also can’t speak highly enough of Rick and Denny. During the planning process, those two made it clear that they were absolute professionals who knew what they were doing. It was a gigantic relief to know that we were in good hands and could move on to other tasks. I wouldn’t waste my time writing this review if I didn’t wholeheartedly believe that the Strangers were instrumental to making our wedding a massive, massive, FUN success (that plus the open bar). If you’re on the fence about picking a wedding band, just book the Strangers. And do yourself a favor and add the horn section—it was some of the best money I’ve ever spent. Also…ask them to play Meatloaf’s “Paradise by the Dashboard Light,” if any of your friends/family are into classic rock: one of the highlights of the night. Thank you for making my wedding one to remember. ...
Read moreDo you want to throw the best party of your life? Then just go ahead and hire Back2Life for your wedding right now. From the minute they started playing at our reception we looked around at our friends (most of whom are also in the entertainment industry) and their jaws were on the floor. Not only is every single member of this 9 piece band an unbelievable musician, but they play together tighter than U2 on their last tour. They also know exactly how best to pace your evening, and please trust them when they say they know what songs or medleys work best to keep the energy going and get more of your friends and family out on the dance floor. We also were so floored that they took the time to meet with us in person before the wedding to get a feel for us, talk through any significant songs choices for your ceremony, first dance, parent dances and they were incredibly accommodating with our somewhat unusual requests. We had a magic illusion instead of a traditional introduction and they completely down to help us stage it, sell the moment by letting us take over their microphones, and then punctuate it with a rendition of “Magic Carpet Ride.” If that wasn’t enough, they also knew I was a huge, huge, huge fan of the band Barenaked Ladies and they played my favorite version of one of their songs just for me and CRUSHED it. We lost count of how many people during the wedding and the next day at brunch asked if we were old friends with the band because they seemed to have such a real, deep connection with us and totally get our pretty unique vision and vibe. As a performer myself, I was utterly impressed with the talent, professionalism, expertise and STAMINA of this band. They got everyone (yes, even that cynical, hipster cousin) out to the dance floor to dance as if their life depended on it. If you’re also averse to cheesy and cliche wedding bands then Back2Life is the right band for you. 100% pure talent and a true personal touch. Thank you again for making US look like...
Read moreBTVLive did an exceptional job regarding the music for our wedding ceremony and reception.
Firstly, Alexandr Kislitsyn’s string quartet was fantastic during the pre-ceremony interlude and post-ceremony cocktail hour, with an incredible repertoire of classical and modern songs which matched the mood of the different times of the event. But the highlight was the exceptional performances for the processionals and recessionals (Sunrise Sunset, Concerning Hobbits, Anne’s Theme and Raider of the Lost Ark Theme). Alex’s team was able to adjust to quite well to our ceremony plan, even as they navigated the human element of guests at the wedding. And as musicians ourselves, they met the extremely high bar of impressing us! We would love to work with them again and believe any wedding or event would be lucky to have them!
Most importantly, The Wedding Band, Carnivale featuring El, was an incredibly talented and fun experience for everybody at the wedding! They did a fantastic job learning our two requests outside of their expansive repertoire (Party Man by Prince and Lovers by Taylor Swift) both of which lead to an outstanding response for our intro into the venue as well as our first dance! The Hora and the Tarantella were exceptional and they are highly capable and talented for any ethnic wedding as well. But most importantly, the dance floor was always moving the whole night, never having less than 50 people on the dance floor at any time and at many times had 90-100% or the guests dancing throughout the night! We are still getting rave reviews from our guests, regardless of social background extrovertedness, about how much they loved the band. We not only would love to work with them again, but think they are probably the best band for wedding events in the SEPA area!...
