If you're in the area, it's definitely worth the stop! Friendly employees with all the goodness you'd expect from this type of market. We went out of our way to try the breakfast. It didn't disappoint! The biscuits & gravy & glaze donut were delicious! 😋 I've been here 3x. In May they have a big greenhouse where you can buy plants. They have wonderful homemade ice cream!! They sell handmade quilts, baked goods, breads, handmade wood decor, fudge & a huge assortment of yummy candies & chocolates. They also carry everyday necessities like milk, eggs, bread, meat. They have a deli with great sandwiches made to order or buy sliced meat. Lots of jams, jellies, local honey, syrups, molasses, baking supplies, spices AND natural health remedies that you can't find anywhere else. You really need to visit! :)

Baker Country Market in Salmon, Idaho is a hidden gem that's worth every mile of the journey. This Amish-run establishment exudes warmth and hospitality, making every visit a delightful experience. The highlight? Their cinnamon rolls! Baked to perfection, these rolls are a symphony of soft, fluffy dough, and a generous swirl of cinnamon, topped with a sweet glaze that melts in your mouth. The quality and care put into each roll are evident, making them the best I've ever tasted. Beyond the cinnamon rolls, the market offers a variety of fresh, homemade goods that reflect the craftsmanship and tradition of the Amish community. If you're in Salmon, don't miss the chance to visit Baker Country Market—it's a true taste of homemade heaven!

This is just a fun place to visit. The amount of pickled goods to pick from is unreal! I’ve bought everything from the garlic dill pickles to the jarred apple pie filling, and have yet to not like something. They have a full deli (meats, cheeses, salads) and a ton of bakery items (donuts, pies, cinnamon buns, cookies, breads, etc.). They also have prepackage cookie mixes, cake mixes and so on that they put together for purchase. Items range from $5/$6 all the way up to $14/$15, depending on what you get the size of the item.

While there you definitely have to get some lunch at the deli. They have a sheet for you to fill out and you pick everything from the bread you want to what meats, cheeses, condiments and vegetables you want on your sandwich. They do have gluten free options too! You can just get a sandwich, but you can also pick sides (broccoli salad, potato salad, macaroni salad) or add chips to the meal. They have a large fountain drink selection to pick from if wanted. If you’re still hungry, be sure to try some of their ice cream. All of these items or combo meals are reasonably priced. Just a side note, you don’t pay for your food when you order it. There is one exit and you pay as you leave the shop. Also, they do cash, cards and checks!

Their green houses are amazing. A ton of variety and price range. They also have hand crafted chair/rockers/benches to purchase. They are pricey (starting around $300) but beautiful to have if you can afford one. If you’re bringing kids, they do have a fairly large playground for them to use.

Between getting food and wandering around, we typically stay a few hours when we visit. This is a great place for a day trip or just...

We never go to Salomon without spending a couple hours okay this little Country Market. It is the cleanest market I have been in. They carry home canned fruit, jams, and several different flavored ciders. Peach being my favorite. There is a very nice deli. Cheese, meats, etc. We order a sandwich while we are there and have lunch. They are not skimpy with the meats and cheese. Made on home made bread. And speaking of bread...fresh home made doughnuts, scones, cinamon rolls...enough about food. There is a huge porch out front where you are allowed to sit on the chairs and gliders and visit for as long as you want to. They also sell bedding flowers that are the healthiest I have see at any garden shop this year. Thus place is a "must stop and visit" place. The people who run/own it are over the top nice...
