I have never written a review without sampling the business but I must give Dan Schneider at least 5 stars for his contribution to his community and though sadly unable to save his son he has saved countless lives through his pursuit of justice. Your son will be so proud. If all people shared your moral compass this world would be just awesome. I had an addiction to dihydrocodeine which was prescribed after I broke my hip in 2 places. Nobody chooses to become an addict, but it creeps up on you until you realise that you cannot get through a day without the drug. Initially, I took dihydrocodeine as prescribed for physical pain but I found it also cured my depression. If you find a pill which not only cures your physical pain but makes your depression disappear plus gives you confidence and feeling euphoric with life then of course you want more! However you don't choose to get to a point that you 'need' it because without it the pain is excruciating both physically and mentally that even getting through minutes without it is torture. I understand why people commit crimes to get their drugs! I went to my boss for help as I was taking a lot of sick time and really thought she would help-instead she sacked me. I actually considered taking my life as when I went to my GP I was told I didn't look like an addict and I refused to leave until he referred me for help. That was over 2 decades ago. I spent 7 years training to be a graduate nurse and midwife only to lose my career to addiction. I was struck off and wasn't in the correct state of mind to fight it so it all went ahead without me until I was taking my kids to school one day and saw the local newspaper headline 'local nurse struck off for drug addiction'! I feel strongly that addiction is a disease and help should be given instead of punitive measures which discourage nurses from asking for help. One in ten medical staff are addicts and these are just those included in the statistics but the numbers are so much higher as part of addiction is keeping it secret and addicts are experts at keeping secrets. ADDICTS ARE NOT BAD PEOPLE -NOBODY CHOOSES TO BECOME ADDICTED. The only thing addicts are guilty of is wanting to relieve their pain whether it is physical or mental or in...
Read moreI have no doubt Bradley's must be an excellent pharmacy due to one of its amazing pharmacist, Dan (and I have no doubt their other pharmacists are just as amazing). I'm a Nurse Practitioner/RN whose full dedication to the healthcare field is rooted from the devotion of helping others in their time of need, and it's people like Dan who keep me motivated to do so. I watched the Pharmacist on Netflix and I just wanted to show my love and support to such a great individual! So Dan, here's a toast to you from this Filipina-Californian now living in Germany (and yes, lots of my international friends here have just as much admiration for...
Read moreI watched The Pharmacist and it took me back to August 25, 2005(Hurricane Katrina). On that night, I was seen in the E.R. for abdominal ligament pain due to early pregnancy. I was probably about 5 weeks pregnant and I remember the physician ordering me a shot of morphine. That's how easy it was to get treated for pain by opioids. Now, I was younger and unaware of it at the time. Its not like I asked for morphine. Now, 17 years later things have changed. I'm lucky to get a shot of Toradol if I need it. All the junkies and Dr Clegett's in the U.S. ruined it for the rest of us. Oh...
