Niemanns — Local services in Champaign

Maybe I’m wrong, but it seems like the the deli department isn’t always informed on their pricing. Went there today, (4/27 right around 5:40pm). I had to wait about 5 minutes before someone came out of the back to help and they had beef kabobs and chicken kabobs right next to each other. The beef kabobs were priced at 11.99/lb and the chicken kabobs were priced at 10.99 each (as opposed to the lb). Just seemed weird since the market price for beef is substantially higher. I asked if maybe it was a typo on the sign and maybe the chicken kabobs were supposed to be $10.99/lb. He said no, market price on chicken is just way higher right now. Meanwhile, the chicken breasts 2 feet down are on sale for $3/each. It just didn’t add up for me.

They overfocus on alcohol and neglect other items in the store. There is alcohol everywhere! Not only do they have an enormous alcohol aisle but almost everywhere where in the store has little alcohol displays in almost random places including endcaps, in the middle of aisles and sections and even mimosa tastings. The rebrand to niemanns didn't improve anything just added alcohol throughout the whole store. Not only is it making the store less family friendly but they removed many items to make room for the alcohol.

I look for certain services from my grocery store and by competing more with liquor stores they are neglecting the rest of the grocery store. I have already starting reducing my shopping from Niemanns because I can tell that I'm not...

I didn't have any ideas for my daughters birthday cake. When I called to place the order I asked the person surprise me, I was told they don't do that. That I had to come up with an idea. So I random came up up with a boring idea. When I picked up the cake. The decorations was above and beyond!!!! Left me speechless. I may have teared up that cake was amazing!
