ROADHOUSE responding to my New grocery store, Elkview, supermarket, formerly Smith’s located in elk Plaza in Pinch 🤏, Right off of the intersection of pinch /quick Road. I just recently moved here, between Quick and Sanderson, West Virginia. Formally of Cottageville in Jackson County, and Saint Albans WV. I have checked out all the local grocery stores in the Elkview/Quick areas, and I now have found my favorite Choice!! It is most definitely, and unequivocally Elkview supermarket. It reminds me of an old hometown, friendly, hospitable, and grassroots type of store. Thank you so much for bringing back the old school, hospitality, and leadership!!! The first person I met was the office manager, sweet little Jamie. She was very helpful with everything in the store, one can tell that she is a people person and as willing to help anyone throughout the store. I have met some other individuals in the store as well, and everyone is very delightful, warm and friendly. I did try the other stores in the area, however, my Lord Jesus led me back to Elkview market. The store has daily specials as well as weekly circulars, and Jamie is always good about keeping me informed of all the specials. Their Deli And Bakery is off the freakin chain, I will explain, off the freakin chain means outstanding , clear up there in the elite columns – the best of the best. Not only do they serve up fresh and delicious meals, their prices are very fair and very competitive. Everything is always very scrumptious!!! In closing, you may go to other supermarkets in the area, if you desire, but you gonna wind up finding yourself, going back to Elkview market. Keep up the good work – office manager, Jamie, and everybody else That Roadhouse looks forward to meeting Very soon. Peace out, and always stay classy!!! ROADHOUSE, James...
Read moreSmith's Elkview location is the largest of their two grocery stores. This location has good produce and good fresh meats with a butcher staff. This location has an awesome deli which has all the cold meats and cheeses AND serves breakfast sandwiches in the morning, hot lunch/dinner meals, and truly awesome fried chicken. The staff is loyal, which speaks volumes, and many local students have called Smith's home for their first job while in high school. Smith's still offers friendly carry out service, which is a thing of the past in the chain stores. Speaking of the larger chain stores, I find Smith's to be as economical as any other, and weekly specials offer even more savings. Definitely...
Read moreA "small" mom and pop store, has been in the area for long time. Products are a little more expensive than your typical grocery store. Decent selection. Staff are friendly. In store restaurant that makes amazing potato wedges and fried chicken. Edit-03/28/24: I believe the store is under new ownership and no longer a small family owned store. Staff are still friendly, layout remains the same, prices are still relatively the same I believe. I will say the quality of the chicken and potato wedges have gone down in the last 5 years though. Still decent...
