When I moved back to Charleston about 52 years ago from New London, Connecticut with my 5 yr. Old. I would come home from work. My daughter would be so excited because Grandma and Grandpa took her to see where they would be put to rest when they went to heaven. I was so upset with my parents. I am grateful for Live Oak Cemetery and my parents. I live in Ga. now and I go about 2/3 times a year, when I go I take something to sit on and just talk to my parents while I create a new arrangement. If something like the vase is broken they fix it ASAP. My parents were great people, loved their children and their grandchildren. I gave Oak Cemetery 5 stars ....Because they are always there. My parents bought 2 burerial spots over 60 plus years ago. Grateful because my parents got what THEY wanted and WHERE THEY WANTED TO BE PLACED. My siblings and I Never had to search...My parents are with Jesus and my husband and several grandchildren as well as their parents, brothers...

Laurie went the extra mile to help my wife during a difficult time...

When we got ready to bury my dad, they wouldn't proceed until we paid extra to split out one of the plots. They wouldn't accept a check with my signature because my name wasn't on the top of the check even though I'm authorized to sign-said it could be a forgery. We ordered the headstone from Brown Memorial (cost less) and they refused delivery because they said they needed more paperwork and "why didn't we go through them?" The interred clients have more personality and compassion...
