I really hate to rate this establishment with anything less than 5 stars, but I feel I have to be honest. The cons are equally as damning as the pros are positive.
Cons: -it does not look, smell, or feel like it gets cleaned…I’m sure they clean it, but they should definitely invest in more regular cleaning imo -there’s only one working bathroom. I’m sorry but if I can avoid having me or my children using it the entire time we are there I will. It’s really dirty and smells so bad. But it makes sense since it’s the only bathroom with so much traffic throughout the day -you can’t bring food or drinks into the only area closest to the floor. I get not taking food to the floor, but there’s a separate eating area and you can’t see the floor from it. Then there’s an area where you can interact with your kids from, but you can’t bring food or drinks there. Imagine wanting to be at the skating rink for hours and having to choose between a sip of your drink and keeping an eye on your kids skate. -this is a microcosm of initial points, but I went to tie my daughters skates and the strings felt sticky and damp. I can imagine a lot of people getting sick from this place because again, it isn’t clean.
Pros: -it’s dirt cheap. At only $6/person, you can’t expect too much I suppose -location. We live on the east end and this place is only a few minutes away from my house -it’s a good way to keep the children active for HOURS, and for very cheap -the staff is nice. Not overly welcoming, but they are nice...
Read moreIf I could give them negative stars I would. First off when you call and leave a message they never call back. They have a couple kids that I think are related to the owner's that are behind a desk that people get skates from and turn their skates back into, well those kids are hardly ever at the roller skate desk, they are reaking havoc on the roller rink going fast and zipping between everyone and causing some kids to fall when they shouldn't be on the rink, they should be giving people skates and shoes. I've had to wait about 20 min to get my shoes because no one was there for me to give my skates back to in order to get my shoes back. The last time we were there there were 3 teens and a kid. 2 of the teens were respectful and at the skate desk like they were suppose to be but the other teen and the kid were skating dangerously around very small kids. The kid knocked down a friend of my kid and ran into her again before she could get up. Those kids shouldn't be allowed to skate when other kids are on the rink if they can't...
Read moreDisgusting and the staff was very rude! Paid 15 bucks per kid to skate on new years eve and left within 10 minutes of arriving. If I had been able to see how dirty this place was before paying we would've turned around immediately. The smell of dirty feet was so overwhelming 2 of my kids got nauseous. As a paramedic I literally went into cleaner less skeezy crack houses. The attendant who was giving out skates about knocked me over by jumping over the counter with skates on and came inches from hitting me and my daughter in the face with his skates and didn't even have the sense or manners to apologize or say excuse me. We expected so much better and thought this place would be on par with the skate land in Huntington and only went to this one because it's closer to where my husband works and he was going to meet us after work. Waste of gas money...
