I swear that videography is that one thing every couple says they regret not having at their wedding, and I'm so glad I listened to that advice and found Surrender Films! Rob is truly a talented professional and he excels at what he does. Since we were planning a destination wedding, I appreciated that Rob was so easy to work with -he is super responsive on emails and was very organized and easy to communicate with leading up to the wedding.

Rob and his assistant, Lindsey, showed up prompt and ready to go the day of the wedding. We were not an easy group to work with; our rental house was packed and hectic with people getting ready and added onto that, we were graced with Tropical Storm Bonnie for our beach wedding! Rob and Lindsey were so calm and clear-minded in the presence of a lot of stressed people and altered timelines; we really needed that. Lindsey was so sweet; she was a lifesaver in lending us her clear umbrella which we used the whole day and it made its way into some great shots! Rob scoped out numerous alternate spaces for our first look when our original spot was not possible due to weather-he really got creative in coming up with potential options around Wild Dunes. Even though it was a backup plan, our first look turned out amazing! Rob was also not afraid to firmly yell at a guest who was about to walk through our first look shoot-believe me, as a bride, you want someone like him on your side! :)

Rob and Lindsey were so unobtrusive and just did their thing, we hardly even knew they were there. They were able to capture the story of our day from start to finish and had the vision in order to artistically piece it all together. I keep watching my sneak peek and gala film over and over again because I'm OBSESSED; they truly captured all the ins and outs of our story and all the memories of our day, even the little things that we missed! I can't imagine not having Surrender Films as a part of my wedding...

BEST DECISION OF OUR WEDDING!!! At first we were unsure if we wanted to have a videographer for our wedding, but then we spoke to numerous couples and how they regretted not having one. The search was on... We spoke with many videographers around Columbia and surrounding areas and none of them seemed right, either too much money or a little bit off. We met Rob at a Bridal Show; saw his other work and we instantly wanted him to shoot the wedding. We opted for the Reality Film package, which I would highly suggest for any engaged couple. Rob always kept us informed on what he was doing and when to schedule. A few weeks before the wedding, Rob came to our house to conduct interviews of us and our parents. He also came to our crossfit gym to shoot a couple shots. Rob even came to the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner and was able to get some footage of us with our families before the big day. At the wedding, Rob was incredibly helpful and never got in the way. He organized dance sequences that made for hilarious clips. We even had a shout out cam that we actually won from the bridal fair, which I am still laughing about some of the interviews. Rob sent us wedding shorts leading up to the final product, which were incredible! They had everyone laughing and excited about the full video. A few weeks after our wedding, Rob sent us the final cut and we were blown away with how amazing it was. He has an eye for obtaining beautiful scenes and hitting every single emotion you could think of. He was also able to capture our story and I know he really understood us as a couple. As soon as I saw the sample pieces at the Charleston Bridal Show I knew I wanted Surrender Films and Rob as our videographer. The films weren’t just a run of the mill wedding video, it was clear from the beginning that Rob worked to make each film represent the uniqueness of each couple. I loved all of the personal touches that were in each video and it was very important to me to have a film that was not only fun but really gave a good feeling for the wedding day and for us, and would be something that we would watch over and over again. Rob was really great to work with, he answered all of our questions and worked with us to ease my husband’s concerns (he didn’t want a video and was afraid it was going to be cheesy and something he wouldn’t like). We chose the reality video, which I highly recommend!! When the wedding was over we were naturally curious about how our video would come out and are so thrilled with the finished product. Rob did some unexpected and awesome things (a cartoon for example!), and really told our story in the perfect way. A lot of my husband’s family couldn’t make it to the wedding and we are so excited that we have such an amazing wedding video to show to them this summer. I can not recommend Rob and Surrender Films more! From the husband’s perspective… So before the wedding, I really didn’t want to do the reality wedding video, it seemed like another unnecessary expense that we didn’t need to add on. In the end, I am very glad my wife convinced me to do it. The end result was an amazing video, and Rob was super easy going and fun to work with.
