There are two small parking lots off of thomas Jefferson pkwy. These fill up quickly. Another option is to drive up to the visitor center and walk down from there and back up. The drive is steep, the walk is not. This a very accessible walking path for any ability. It is well maintained. There is a visitor center at the end of the path with a restroom, eatery and...

Very nice hiking trails, with easy, medium, and advanced trails. The main path between parking and Monticello is gravel and pretty smooth, the others are more rugged. But a very nice walk, just take note of the weather- it can get hot. No bathroom or porta potty...
