Equestria West at Bavaria Downs — Local services in Chaska

Absolutely beautiful and stunning venue! My wife and I were so thankful to have our wedding and reception here. Unfortunately the staff and promises made to use were not followed through and the communication was very poor the day of and no follow up after our wedding day.

We were told we would have a golf cart to drive us around for pictures, the day of our wedding they told us it was broken which was very unfortunate because we had a rainy day and we're not able to walk far without getting too muddy so the cart would have been very nice to have. They also told us they would set up games and activities for our guests during our 1.5 hour cocktail hour, nothing was set up and our guests had to sit around and wait while we did our photos. Our day of coordinator through Equestria did not seem to communicate well with the day of events and left in the middle of the day without us knowing. We did not want to cut our cake in front of our guests but after dinner we were told we had to do so in order for them to cut the rest of the cake and get the desserts put out for our guests because the catering service staff needed to leave, this was not discussed with us that there was a certain time they needed to leave by so we were taken by surprise. The bachelor suite had 5 pool cues with only 1 cue that was not broken, the Xbox had only shooter games and no sports games to play. Lastly we were required to pay for a "sound professional" to "assure" that everything went smoothly for our ceremony and reception with the DJ that we brought in. Unfortunately our DJ and the sound professional together were not able to get the mics working for the majority of the day and the speeches, which was very difficult with a big wedding and lots of space that needs microphones.

These are just a few of the more important things to my wife and I that Equestria West did not deliver for us and we never received any follow up after our wedding when we submitted our reviews. We made the most of our wedding day and still had a great time enjoying the space with our loved ones. I hope going forward they can improve their business model and take care of their clients as this is such a breath...

Equestria West was a dream venue for us. We did not think we'd be able to get everything we wanted within our budget, but their essential package on Thursdays was picture perfect. It was worth every penny we spent, and every penny we saved by being flexible on the date. From start to finish, the process was timely, seamless and professional. The team with Bavaria Downs really outshined other events i've attended (i have also been an event planner) and I was really impressed with how everything was executed the day of our wedding. Ann was really accommodating and easy to work with. She offered great suggestions when I was drawing a blank, but also went with the flow when i had specific requests. D'Amico's catering was delicious. Our guests said that is was the best Chicken they've ever had at a wedding. We had not tried our cake until the evening of, and let me tell you, IT WAS OUTSTANDING. I'm looking forward to eating it again on our 1 yr anniversary! What struck me as a huge compliment, was that our guests enjoyed how spacious the venue was. We had a smaller wedding, 100 guests, and some may think at times the venue looked emply, but our guests really really enjoyed having space to indulge conversation with family and friends without having to yell, or be constantly elbowed with people moving through the crowd. I am recommending this venue and team to anyone I can who is newly engaged. I can not stress enough that it is worth the money. I had zero stress on wedding day

My husband and I would get married a million times over at Equestria West at Bavaria Downs! It was the absolute perfect wedding venue for us and they paid SO much attention to detail and put so much intention behind the venue itself - it's truly stunning and breath taking. Our guests could not say enough about how much they enjoyed the space and even made comments about how it was the most well-run and organized wedding they had ever been to! My husband and I felt SO well taken care of by the staff at Equestria West. They were constantly checking in with how we were feeling, giving us helpful suggestions, and taking care of things for us at every step of the way. We truly felt so stress free throughout the whole entire process and I give the Equestria West at Bavaria Downs staff complete props for that! Ann Grant specifically was our day-of coordinator. I can't say enough good things about Ann. Not only is she an expert at what she does, but she is so thoughtful, caring, and such a fun energy to be around! Her goal was to make us feel special and for our day to be the best day ever and she nailed it. Any questions we had, we could always reach out to Ann and she knew exactly how to help. She was also incredibly timely and communicative too. We appreciate Ann SO much and are so grateful that she had our backs during the process.
