I'm hesitant to spread news of this gem of a place, which tends to book up very quickly, but the owners well deserve it. It is exactly as advertised, but I don't think the pictures do the place justice.
We stayed a week in Seadaisy. The location can't be beat - right by Ridgevale Beach and an estuary that's perfect for little kids. The cottage was sparkling clean, well-equipped, and nicely decorated. It really felt like a second home. We found books and board games to enjoy. For those who can't get away from work completely, wifi/internet worked super well.
We cooked most of our meals in the kitchen and had pretty much everything we needed. (And the host said to ask for anything we needed and didn't find.) We made good use of the outdoor shower and the outside grill too. There were all these extras that made our time extra nice - like the free use of the kayaks and life jackets, laundry line to hang our clothes to dry, and (with permission) use of herbs growing on the grounds or in the garden. The landscaping is really beautiful. I think the hosts really thought of everything.
The hosts, Scott and his mother Ann, were very welcoming and treated us like we were extended family visiting the area. On our last night, Ann invited us to enjoy her stuffed claims. They were mind-blowingly good, the best I've ever had.
Lovely cottage, lovely people!...
Read moreWe have been going to Ridgevale Beach for 6 years. Every time we would be making the trek back up from the beach, we would see these cottages and ask ourselves âhow do we stay there?â After being locked down for so long we decided to give it a shot last summer and now we have decided we are not staying anywhere else.
The house fits myself, husband , and daughter perfectly (we are 3 large humans). The living room and kitchen areas are well appointed with what you need to be comfortable but not distract from the natural and amazing beauty of the property.
The views, the breeze, the sounds and the smell made every minute âa beach day.â Whether we were sitting on the couch, at the table in the yard, on the front porch or anywhere else on the property, we felt like we were right at the beach.
The owners were amazing â so welcoming and friendly. They shared the history of the cottages, gave us a kayak lesson, and made us feel so at home.
If you are looking to breathe different air and live a different life for a week or two, to escape and live simply enjoying everything the beach has to offer, then this is the perfect...
Read moreWe just spent our 2nd trip to the Sea Daisy at Chatham Seaside Cottages and we canât wait to come back next year â2022 for our 3rd trip! The entire property is gorgeous, immaculate grounds and Cottage, right on the Estuary and next to Ridgevale Beach. We have enjoyed two September visits, which is a great time of year as the weather is still great and there are less crowds. The Sea Daisy is perfectly set up so you can either Grill and cook your own meals with great views or head into Chatham or Harwich, both a quick 5-10 minute drive with plenty of restaurants. We especially like Kayaking on the Estuary (download the Chatham Tide App, as you have a good 4-hour window, pre and post high tide) and the Kayaks, Orrs, and life jackets are easy accessed on property. If you like a beautiful beach with plenty of area for relaxing, swimming in the beautiful & warmer Nantucket Sound, as well as long walks, Ridgevale Beach is literally a 1-minute walk from the Cottage! Thanks to Scott and Annie for their wonderful hospitality! Be well and see you next year! Leslie and Terry,...
