EZPAWN — Local services in Chattanooga

Don't usually go to this particular pawn shop. I usually go to Cash America and US Money Shop because of their customer service and if you have any issues with the product you bought they will return the productas long as you have the receipt.

So I decided to give them a try since they're close to my house. Bought a laptop that was on clearance for $40. Ask the guy if anything was wrong with it he said no just been here a while. So I get it home only to find out that it has a very slow response time. Click an icon and it takes 5 to 6 minutes for it to open. So I updated the computer and it work properly for a few minutes then back to the slow response.

Took it back to them and showed them and they acted reluctant about it. Started talking about it being pass 24 hours of sale and something about a warranty that I was never offered due to the guy only being concerned with the price being so low. The lady rebooted the computer and said it was working and I tried explain that thats how it done the first time but she kept rudely interrupting me trying to tell me about how computers work but she didnt understand that I am an electronic tech and been that way since middle school. They basically told me it wasn't nothing they was going to do about it and was rude and nowhere near understanding. They offered to buy it back for $20 since it was 12 hours over the 24 hour "Rule", which is a slap in the face.

I will not be doing business here anymore. Worse overall experience as far as...

5/06/20update. Still the Best Place for Great Deals on electronics, jewelry, tools, appliances and so much more. If you need some cash for whatever reason it's a Great Place to Pawn or Sell Something of Value. I Highly Recommend Going Here First.........Been doing business here for over 20yrs...Way back when it was check pawn. Some of the same people still work there after all these years..Unfortunately I learned today that one of them passed away, she was a lovely lady and moved up to manage another location that I stop in now and again...But Anyway Mike who has managed this the busiest Pawn Shop in the Greater Chattanooga TN area is a Wonderful person and if you talk for a better deal on something chances are you will get one...Everyone Who works here are also wonderful people to deal with, Leann, Shaggy, Cara, Bobby and the Rest...Best selection of any pawn shop around and the prices drop on items the longer their on the shelf.. at peak times you may have to wait in line, Like I said...Their the Busiest Pawn Shop in Chattanooga TN...almost forgot...You can get a six month warranty for only a few extra dollars on many items in the store..Who Else Does That? ...

I am putting this review on here for this location because this is where Mike primarily works and all of my negative experiences in this location and the Brainerd location have been with him. This pawn shop is generally okay, I feel like they choose who they want to do business with now and they are very quick to lowball you on prices. Do not walk in here and expect to get anything close to what you would expect to get anywhere else while pawning or selling your belongings. Do not expect to be able to pawn or sell something you bought second-hand if it has someone else's name written in sharpie on it, unless you have proof that it was sold or given to you before walking in the door. There have just been so many incidents with one manager at this point, in the past year that I will not bother doing business with the Rossville Blvd location again and if he is at the Brainerd location then I will go elsewhere or not bother at all.
