I bought a $3500 piece of furniture that needed to be shipped out of town. I didn't find out the date of my delivery until the day it was being delivered. Because of a clerical error on their part it was delivered to my billing address instead of my home. I then had to wait for the driver for hours until he showed up. I had to rent a van, uncrate the furniture, put it in my van, and drive it 30 minutes to my house. This basically took up my whole day.

Jenique said I would be reimbursed for my troubles. After two weeks and no phone call, I called and asked if I would be reimbursed $10 of gas and $120 for a rental van for the day- a trivial amount considering the hassle of driving to pick up the van and spending my day dealing with the result of their error. I asked to speak for the owner, and Jenique informed me that he would not be calling me back, I quote, "that's not going to happen".

Being in business for myself for more than 30 years, I have never treated a customer so disrespectfully nor heard of someone being treated that way. Despite being informed that they have many satisfied customers, I would not say I am one of them. I would avoid this store...

I am a long-time customer of FMV and I love teak. FMV has the largest variety of inventory of quality, beautifully restored and unique teak items that I have found. And lots of other things too. Inventory turns over quickly and FMV does a great job of keeping the online website current. So I love browsing the website since I can't get in to the showroom very often. But nothing beats viewing the showroom in person. I've found decor items too that way. I have purchased, traded and sold items with FMV. They have been great to work with over the years. For example, Kris and Bobby have both picked up and delivered for me and are fabulous! Everyone at FMV is professional, friendly and obviously experts in buying and restoration. My special thanks to Jackie, one of the owners, who is outstanding and usually who I work with. She always responds quickly to my emails and has also been very caring regarding my personal circumstances. I recommend FMV highly! If you are looking for Danish style furniture....don't look any further. This is the one and only place! When we walked into the amazing newly renovated shop....I thought I had died and gone to Danish furniture heaven. We are moving from a home to an apartment and needed to down size a few pieces of our Danish style furniture for a more compact design. It's as if the pieces were waiting for us on the display floor ready to be purchased. With advice from Gail, Jackie and Todd we were able to trade in our pieces for exactly what we need and love.
