J J Berry Country Store — Local services in Chehalis

I love this store. Great deals. But not the this time. I found coconut flour that was .99 cents each and activa yougurt a pack of 4. There was no price but they were all in the box that said buy four yougurts for 1.00. So I thought this is so great yougurts for my daughter at a great price and gluten free flour for my mother in law. But when I got to the counter the lady asked how much the flour was and I told her .99 cents was what the sign said. I can go take a picture for you so you can see the price yourself. She then tells me that she doesn't want me to do that she will just charge me 1.99 each. I didn't think making a bug deal about 4 dollars was worth the hassle. But then the yougurts i got she again asked a oeice on then since no price was seen and I told her they were in the box of buy 4 get them for a dollar so she starts breaking the packs of 4 in half and charges me twice as much for what should have been 4 dollars not 8. There is this lady I found at the counter as I checked stuff out and she was very hostile. I asked her if she could pack my stuff in a box and she told me she didn't have any boxes yet they were right infront of my face. She then asked if I was paying with EBT and I wondered whether there are specific people who look like EBT lol. I chose not to answer her and I just got my debit card and showed her. This is the second time I am having a bad encounter with this lady who I clearly told that discrimination is old style. I hope not to run into her again at the store. Sloooow. Make sure you have plenty of time . They only have one cashier most of the time and its all checked by hand. Alot of the stuff isnt marked so you dont know how much it is. You can get some good deals here but be carefull some of it looks cheap but really its more expensive than the grocery store you normally go to. For instance single cans of pop and seltzer water are 59cents each that makes it over $7 a half case! Not at all a good deal. And its hit or miss on most items. There one day gone the next.
