Every year my family and I visit the pumpkin patch off Battlefield Blvd and we always add on a new additional patch to try for fun. I only gave 3 stars because although the farm was cute this wasn’t even close to being worth $80. It was myself and 3 children. They don’t allow options for what you want to do while you are there. $80 got us admission, a hayride and access to one adult maze and two kiddie mazes and 4 tickets to one turn on the corn gun and the option to pet the animals. We had to pay extra for a $5 extra for only ride and to feed the animals. I feel like there should have been options as to which activities we purchased tickets for. I did not care to participate with the hay ride and we really only wanted the pony ride and the kiddie maze. Every other patch I have been to has all the same activities plus face painting, bounce houses etc and most importantly you get the option to which activities you pay for. Had I not drove an hour to get here we would have just left. All in all if you go during the week it’s $8 a person but Saturday is $20 a person! It’s just not worth the money and you are forced to make certain purchases you don’t want and even if you ask they...
Read moreToday I went to their farm store. I bought 4 ears of corn for 75 cents an ear. The employee at the store told me about how their normal supplier had problems with their crop and they had to source from another farm. She was very pleasant, smiling as she told me that the corn was the sweetest corn she ever tasted. There was a sign up that prohibited shucking the corn in the store.
I took the corn home. The ears were large and the kernels were large, dried out and wrinkled with age. Popping a kernel with my fingernail produced very little to no liquid. EVERY SINGLE EAR of corn had a large worm in it. I threw it all away.
While selling animal feed corn in place of good sweet corn for 75 cents an ear is shameful, having this woman lie to me with a sweet smile on her face and a promise of the best corn ever on her lips is criminal. Shame on this "farm" and shame on this liar.
You couldn't shuck the corn in the store because, if you saw the corn before buying it, they wouldn't sell a single ear. Some people will do anything to get $3. Again, SHAME ON YOU!!! Never...
Read moreLovely little farm with a small kiddie area, beautiful fruit trees and an actual pumpkin patch! We enjoyed our time out in the field trying to find the perfect pumpkins. After our tractor ride back we decided to hit the little store there that had all sorts of delicious treats. We bought lots of little snacks and drinks. One snack being the cider donuts. This is where my problem came into play. We grabbed one of the bags of iced cream cheese cider donuts which had a sign that said cider donuts $2.50. While being rang up the girl rang up donuts 3x. When asked why because I was confused she said they were $2.50 each donut! We reluctantly paid. But I couldn't help but feel ripped off. The donuts were 3 in a bag. The sign didn't say each donut. The bags also say cider donuts 3 cream cheese glazed. They came already packaged that way. The sign just said cider donuts $2.50. I just wish I guess the sign was worded differently because I seriously felt taken advantage of. Picture for proof with yummy donuts...
