I was there as part of a team to rate the course. Afterwards, I played 18 holes.
It's a nice complex with some gorgeous holes that will truly test your accuracy and ability to shape a few shots.
There are three 9-hole courses. I played the Red Fox and White Tail courses (which are the most difficult, tree-wise, I'm thinking). It was a fun round of golf with some very interesting shots.
The Blue course (who's accompanying name I forget and which I did not visit) is the third 9-hole course.
Management and everyone with whom I had contact, including their dining room staff, were friendly and courteous. Nice folks. And lunch was very good.
One thing I'll mention though - and this is NOT a complaint, just a heads-up: the step into the clubhouse from the deck (parking lot side) is a bit higher than expected.
If you're paying attention, it's no biggy; but I was looking around instead of where I was going and tripped on this slightly higher-than-expected step, displaying my grace and agility by falling on my face.
This was entirely my own knucklehead fault.
I was met immediately by Melissa (I hope I remembered her name correctly), who was full concern and who helped me up (my knees are no longer able to get me off the ground unaided); and by Bear, the beautiful Chocolate Lab (who I'm sure actually runs the place) who was full of desire to be petted. It was a thing to be laughed at and that is exactly what all who saw me hit the floor did, once they ascertained I was OK. Bear's tail was going 90mph from the get-go.
Would I go back to play another round? Absolutely. Would I have another meal there? Absolutely. Will I say hello to Bear? Absolutely. Will I be aware of that step into the clubhouse? ...
Read moreIs this an Arnold Palmer course? Haha no. No it is not. To be a golf course you need flags, and golf carts, so technically they qualify. What does a golf course look like after putting as little effort and energy into it as possible for 20 years? Come here and find out! They say the sand traps are going to get sand some day, but that was before Covid... Currently they are gravel weed pits, but you get free relief! Times are tight so they water the grass only once a month. Im using the word "grass" loosely. Mainly just hard packed dirt. Trees that line the fairway havent been trimmed in 20 years, so forget about using your driver. At least one of the tee boxes is level! The fairways only 20 yards wide in most cases. Some of the golf carts stop when you want them to so thats nice. Some people say the hot dogs they sell "arent that bad" Some people ask how you can have a hard stale bun thats also freezer burnt and wet and soggy at the same time? Good question. They somehow perfected it tho. See...
Read moreI was golfing here the Sunday before Memorial Day when there was a lot of people golfing. I was with my pregnant wife and children. The old man who I guess runs the golf course confronted me and my pregnant wife on the 9th hole and told us we couldn't golf here anymore and we needed to go. The owner and his friends started using the F word in front my kids and I told him that he needed to calm down. His group of friends tried to encircle me and my wife then my extended family showed and confronted them. A man that was the owners son then attempted to run over my pregnant wife with a golf cart. I had some angry words with this individual and he proceeded to get scared and call the police. The ownership at this place are scum. DO NOT COME HERE. THEY ARE BELLIGERENT AND THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO MANAGE THEIR COURSE. THEY ARE...
