I've been attending races at Harris since 1955 or 1956...or whenever it was built. Harris is a wonderful track, well maintained and loaded with great drivers and competition. As much as racing at Harris changes, it stays the same. If I get homesick for the racing in years past.....all I have to do is shut my eyes, and Stick Elliott, Bobby Issac, Preston Humphries, Goat Rogers, or Paul Ghost, or David Pearson or Richard Petty are on the track in front of you racing for the flag...then when you open your eyes there are different drivers and cars, but the same kind of competion. Read moreI've been twice now, family friendly is the best phrase I can use. We pulled up to pay , 12 and under are free, awesome ! They give your kids coloring pages or toys to help keep them occupied, brilliant! They're good family people. The racing is great , the announcers are hilarious and interactive with the crowd the entire time. The drivers race hard and keep it interesting. The only negative side I can say about it is that the drivers meeting should start a little earlier and Green flag should start at a reasonable time. It seems to be a little dragged out. Ending around midnight to 1 am. The restrooms could use some updating too. Other than that. It's a great time , I would recommend...
Read moreBeen to this place since I was a kid my uncle used to take me wonderful place they ought to make more around keep kids out of trouble competitive love it sometimes a little rowdiness but that goes along with racing I have raced it myself mostly good people made it safer from back in the olden days when I went and there was nothing but a dirt Bank in between you and the cars but that was so fun LOL I'm 36 I have rode my go-kart around that track for kids race bicycles around that track for kids need to bring that more more guidance for kids to have fun and learn respect a lot of what kids don't get these days God...
