There's a reason all the mechanics are standing around with nothing to do, because they want over $525.00 for a standard oil change! Tell me, why when BP bought out TA's all they did was bloody raise their prices? It obviously has affected the shop as well. They informed us that all the pricing is now 'set in stone'. They cannot adjust anything with the new program, the computer ( corporate) tells them what to charge-no exceptions. TA's used to be a quick go to for an oil change. The current national rates are $270.00- $400.00 for a semi depending on filters, etc. We paid around $380.00 last time we had an oil change with every filter replaced, they did an excellent job. So, like with Country Pride charging $15.00 (for what used to be a large hamburger) for a tiny, tiny downsized burger and maybe 10 fries, the TA'S shop is charging way over the national average for a simple oil change. I can't imagine what the computer tells them to charge to replace a fan clutch or starter, guess just add a third to what you think it should be? The second star is for inside the TA. It's very clean, including the bathrooms. The staff is pleasant too. Lastly, once again, TA has absolutely no hot food at all, so to heck with hungry...
Read moreATTENTION AVOID THE SHOP AT ANY COST They will punish you if they don’t like you. I said something to them that they didn’t like about what they did to me and now I’ve had my trailer here with the hub needing replaced (maybe it needed replacing maybe not) and they have been lieing and “losing parts” then finding parts and unable to track parts ordered just to punish me. It’s been 2.5 weeks I’ve been running power only to make some money. I’ve wasted over a week of no loads, saying it would be done then no update no update then it’s delays and lies. I caught them in multiple lies myself, my shop manager did also. Corporate had to get involved. That’s the only way we could movement. Still don’t know if they’re gonna finish the job or if I’m gonna find a power only to the house to empty the truck then to the company yard to resign. We will see. The truck stop and people seems fine though. Low-key play nice not lots of traffic...
Read moreI highly recommend the wonderful folks at the TA in Cowpens, SC, especially Mike Baldwin, the shop manager who could not have been any kinder helping me today, September 18. After numerous unsuccessful attempts to find someone to put oil in my Volvo, I was panicked and stopped at the TA. Mike was all too willing to advise me on the oil to purchase and assisted me with filling the car.
I was much relieved and enormously grateful. Mike’s kindness and professionalism definitely stood out and was greatly...
