FHJ Events — Local services in Chester Township

FHJ events was the perfect spot for our wedding, it gave us the simplistic, beautiful country feel we were wanting without the astronomical price. They have a beautiful pond that we had our ceremony in front of and another small pond in the back of the farm that we took some beautiful veil pictures at. We had about 150 guests and were able to spread everyone out comfortably and leave room for a dance area. The food was able to be separated so that people could come and go as they pleased to eat as well as easy access for the caterer to replenish food. Anita was very friendly and helpful in making arrangements for tours, she worked with us, our caterer, and our florist for set up, and what's not to love about getting a whole weekend for your wedding?? My only minor critique would be to somehow add another window or fans in the back of the barn to create a cross breeze and circulation as it was a bit toasty the farther away from the doors you got, however, they did have fans and big open doors in the front...

We absolutely love this venue! From a friendly family, easy to work with, a beautiful place inside and out, a far better price than others, and you get the venue all weekend. It's just a perfect place to have a perfect wedding! Anita and Ted were very helpful. They were always there to lend a hand. They also have many props you can use. Our wedding day was very rainy. Unfortunately we weren't able to have our cermony outside by the pond, with the hay bale set up. But we were still able to have a cermony just as beautiful inside the barn. Theres plenty of room in the barn. Perfect layout and the bridal room is gorgeous and cozy. The Barn was our favorite. We wanted an old rustic barn with charm. The Venue was nice - but not in mid October. It was COLD! I wondered why they didn't have the Patio style heaters - would have been a game changer for sure !! We have been to barn type weddings - but this is Rustic Barn - dont wear heels as the floor is rustic wood rough surface -- I am sure in the summer its beautiful.
