Montessori Kids Universe Chester — Local services in Chester Township

Where to begin? Our son began attending MKU when he was almost 4 months old. As a first time parent, I had a lot of reservations around where we would want our son to go and after touring three of the daycares in our local area, none compared to the atmosphere, curriculum and staff of MKU Chester. Prior to even starting, we had many interactions via email with the MKU director, Lamis. Lamis was always quick to respond and pleasant in all our conversations. When I say quick to respond, I mean same day and usually within an hour of our email. That is not something you will typically find in a daycare or at least that we experienced. When we finally arrived at the facility, we were in awe at how clean it was. While we knew the facility was new we were amazed at how well it has been maintained and still is over four months later. We walked by classrooms and had the opportunity to watch teachers interact with students and loved seeing the passion every teacher and staff member had for the kids they were interacting with. Also, we love the fact that their are no TVs, plastic or light up toys. All the toys are meant to be developmental and that was a huge plus for us. Since beginning at MKU Chester, the love and admiration for the teachers, faculty and staff has only grown. They know our son and the other children by name. They update us daily with photos and daily summaries. That, as well as seeing him progress rapidly though his developmental milestones has been incredible. Watching my son light up when he sees his teachers (even at only 8 months old) makes my mama's heart happy and puts me at complete ease. These people have become more like family and we are grateful for each and everyone of them. A BIG shout out to Jazmin - She truly has a gift as a teacher and our son, as well as us, absolutely adore her. Also, Ti (owner) and Lamis (director) have done an incredible job in creating a wonderful atmosphere filled with highly qualified and passionate staff for our children - thank you. If you are a parent looking for a place to call your child's second home and second family, I cannot recommend MKU Chester enough. Your child will be in the safest place where the will be encouraged to learn and develop at their individual pace and cared for with the upmost respect and love. We love Montessori Kids Universe Chester! The staff, in addition to the Owner and Director, always greet our child with a smile and love. We can see that our child feels comfortable and trusts the staff/teachers, with the excitement to be there. We find the teachers are very communicative with how our child's day was. They are very patient with our questions and concerns, and we feel they respect each child's routine and do their best to implement that into the school/daycare setting. It is very clean and very organized - not chaotic at all despite the number of students that go to the school! We find that all the teachers, even if not in our child's classroom, interact with our child and always say hi - showing the friendliness of the environment. We feel we really lucked out with finding such an amazing daycare/school for our child. We love the Montessori approach and the school does a great job with letting students lead their play time. MKU is an amazing place to have your child go for early learning. Moving into a new town in the middle of summer, trying to settle your kids in a new district was a bit overwhelming. But when I was led to MKU from a school who was no longer accepting applications, I didn’t know I was led to a place that felt like “home”. My daughter never felt timid, she was always more excited. Seeing her new school and getting the feel of what her day to day would be like- she instantly felt that’s where she belonged. Ever since, she has flourished and has gained the confidence to tackle on what each new day would bring her. We’ve gotten to know most of the teachers and staff, and each of them made you feel as if you have known them longer than you actually have- and with that, it made it even better knowing that my child was in the best hands and care as possible. I can honestly say my daughter loves MKU and I am sure, she will always remember her best days here- remembering her kind and caring teachers, and most importantly, her first friendships...
