This is not a restaurant. They make maple 🍁 syrup, sugar, spread, mustard and candy 😋. They are open to the public during NH Maple Weekend and have 🪧 demonstrations of the production of maple syrup. I enjoyed the short lecture about the process and history of maple syrup. There is a museum style display of tools used to tap the trees and make the syrup. The evaporator was interesting to observe in action. The staff and owners were very friendly. Even the other customers were all in a good mood! Kids were also interested. Photos were being taken, especially of the Sugar House 🏠. The store was small and prices were high for the real thing, but, it is worth it. I tried the maple mustard and it had a spicy kick to it. I can't wait to try it on 🥪 sandwiches! Folsom's does have a website for ordering. I recommend a visit during NH Maple Weekend!

A classic sugar house experience. My wife had never seen maple sugar being made before and this was a great, simple, charming place to see the process, with sap being tapped right outside the shack where the boiling is happening. Some places during Maple Weekend offer expensive tours that will show you a lengthier tour of the process, but I would rather throw that money at all the products in the gift shop! We bought maple cream, dark and amber grades of syrup, and maple sugar.

The owner is very nice and offers tours during the winter (check the website or call ahead for hours first). This spot is quite small, with just 1 room with the machinery, some equipment outdoors, and 1 room for the store, so you essentially end up with a quick private tour. It's clear he's been doing this for a very long time, and he can detail the differences between types of trees or the steps of the maple syrup-making process to your heart's content.
