Norman's Farm Market-Jones Mill Stand — Local services in Chevy Chase

We’re new to the Chevy Chase area and Norma’s Market is such a lovely little gem. It’s a colorful roadside spot with a great variety of fruits, vegetables, jams, teas, cheeses, dips, and a lot more. Everything seems to be perfectly in season. Right now they've got peaches, watermelon, and corn, and the place is always packed with community support. The workers are so kind and always smiling, which makes the whole vibe really warm and welcoming.

They even have dog snacks, I grabbed some for my pup and she loves them! One thing that really surprised me was seeing yerba mate, which is a Guaraní tea from my culture. So I have been riding pass this place for a couple weeks on my way to work. I love fresh vegetables. So I was like on my next day off, I'm going to come and buy some vegetables to support our local farms. So I was eager this morning. When I got there I was the only customer to be expected because of what we are going through. But it wasn't a friendly environment that I researched reading the reviews. When I asked for something she let me know the season they would come in. But when I got in the car to let my husband know what I wanted. She threw her hands up for me to leave. It is such a treat to show up at Norman's CSA pick up and be consistently greeted by friendly and very helpful people. They will give you tips on how to prepare a certain vegetable, or give your kid an amazing juicy strawberry to taste, and always with a smile. And then there is the fresh fruit and vegetables. I get to choose what I want to take and how much - each share is divided into how many choices you get from each table - so if I am in the mood for cucumbers, I can get a bundle of cucumbers and leave the kale for next week.
