My opinion, you may very likely be very disappointed if you stay or order food there.||||First thing, they over charged us then refused to refund the discount from using our Passport America card, it took arguing with a manager to get the proper credit. We made the reservation in advance with the Passport America discount card card. ( in contacting Passport America to report this, they gave me lip service)||||After that ordeal, and with an attitude the young ladies behind the counter put us in a space out in a dusty field loaded with dog poop, out of the main park.|| When I walked back to ask about getting in the main park, they refused to allow us in the park. I observed that they had several spaces which never got filled that night, so telling me they were booked solid was a lie.||||Then and after a long drive from N. Carolina, I ordered a long anticipated Buffalo Ribeye dinner, just under $50, of which I ordered the meat medium rare. The meat came overcooked to a medium well, high in gristle content and tasted like beef.||||(I know my steaks, I am a FOODIE and the chef around here, I have hunted and eaten deer, elk, moose and such, I smoke food and brew beer, I know how to properly cook a steak and rate the doneness and quality.)||||When asked by hostess what dressing I wanted for me salad, l requested it with Caesar Dressing. It came with a sweet chocolate tasting balsamic syrup all over it, no Caesar anywhere. Beans were overly sweet, otherwise no seasoning. They tasted like plain canned beans with sugar added.||The bread was sweet as well. Being diabetic, and not wanting to chew overly cooked tough meat, I made and ate a peanut butter sandwich in place of the steak dinner which was trashed.||||It was a long walk back to the restaurant, and they were holding a large gathering, plus I did not want to argue with teenagers again, so I waited till we got home to address this.||||I sent them a copy of my receipt with MEDIUM RARE and CEASAR DRESSING clearly printed on it by the order taker, pics of the site and asked for a refund.||||Of the 19 campgrounds we stayed at driving from Idaho to N. Carolina and back this was the worst to us and just plain unacceptable. They didn't deserve our money for what we got.||||I also asked to speak with the owner.||The owner ignored about 11 calls and emails asking him to call me.||Finally the manager called, made us some lame, idiotic, arguable and laughable excuses and said no refund then accused me of being rude to his office girls.||||I have recorded calls, no rudeness on my part, copies of all correspondence mentioned here, and photos. They cannot deny this happened. You cannot make this sort of thing up.||||I suppose that if you don't care about your campsite or what is served food wise, or that the young staff is with attitude, it is a cool place to go as the Buffalo are neat to see and they have some other animals, although under nourished looking.||||If you NOTICE, all of the ratings are 5 star at their Terry's Buffalo Ranch website, compared to the BBB giving them a "F" rating and the Trip Advisor 3/5 ratings. HMMM, seems like perhaps some funny business going on somewhere.||||My credit card company gave me a full refund for the dinner and camp site costs, hopefully they get paid by Terrys Ranch.||||I am sure that some folks have a great time there, we thought we...

Read moreWednesday, August 27, 2025, we visited the Terry Bison Ranch, 51 I-25 Service Road East, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82007. Upon arrival we purchased tickets for the 9:00 a.m. train and were instructed to be at the train boarding area no later than fifteen minutes for the train’s 9:00 a.m. departure.| |We stood at the departure area from about 8:40 a.m. until 9:10 a.m. asking two different staff members about the 9:00 a.m. schedule. One gave us a look and said something about working the barn before walking away. The other said something like “He would be with us shortly” and walked away. I walked up to the souvenir/gift/ticket shop and asked when the 9:00 a.m. train was leaving. I was told that the “engineer” was moving bison from on pasture to another and would be with us shortly.| |About 9:20 a.m. the “engineer” shows up. The train is not a train. It is a highly modified truck that rumbles, shakes, rattles, and makes a lot of noise. Enough that neither my Wife nor I heard much of the narrative by the “engineer.” When I told him that I could not hear him he spoke a bit louder for about five words then resumed his earlier volume.| |When we finally stopped and shut off the engine by the bison herd I again told him that I was unable to understand most of what he said due to the noise and the volume of his voice. He closed the “door” and said that raising his voice was tough as he had a sore throat. AND HE IS IN A CONFINED SPACE WITH GUESTS IN THIS ENVIRONMENT?| |My Wife and I are train fans. Part of the reason we visited the Terry Bison Ranch was to ride a TRAIN. That goal was not attained. The non-train, advertised as a “train” needs a lot of work to make it QUIETER and SMOOTHER and more correctly, openly advertised as a modified truck on railroad tracks, a Hi-Rail Vehicle in railroad terms.| |The second reason we were at the Terry Bison Ranch was to see bison. That we accomplished and the herd was nice. There are other animals that you can see if you are willing to plod through semi prepared paths, driveways, and walks. We gave up and voiced our disappointment in particular about the schedule adherence at the souvenir/gift/ticket shop and got the expected response, the person simply walked away.| |This facility needs a lot of work from top to bottom. It is shopworn and neglected in numerous areas. The staff is what I would call “non-responsive” and not punctual to the published schedule. | |Overall, we were...
