When shopping online on Black Friday, a Hickory Farms pop-up said that I would receive 10% off my first purchase if I sent my email. I did not receive the code that they said I would receive in my "Welcome Email". I called the customer service line and was first told that it would automatically apply when I checked-out and to call back if it didn't. Well, it didn't, so I called back and spoke to another employee. After doing some research and speaking with others, the employee told me the easiest thing to do would be to complete my purchase and call back at least 45 minutes later and I would be credited back 10% on my purchase price. He left notes in my file that he gave me this information. I called back the following day, early afternoon, and the agent that answered my call read my file. He put me on hold for about 10 minutes while he checked with others. I didn't know why he was checking with others when I was already told that I would be refunded 10%. When he came back on the line, he told me that I could not have the credit that I was promised because I received another discount on the BOGO half off and it was one or the other. No where did it state in their shopping area that discounts were not allowed with the BOGO. I have pictures of their website where I clicked the additional information button on the BOGO and it did not say this. I also have a picture of the submit for the 10% off and it did not state any exclusions. I was upset that I completed my purchase under the condition that I would be credited upon completion of my purchase. I asked to speak to a manager and the agent told me that there wasn't one in the building. I asked to speak to anyone that was in a lead position in the building and he said there wasn't anyone, I find this hard to believe. I feel that this is false advertisement on Hickory Farms part where exclusions to the promotions were not indicated. I also feel that because this was promised to me subject to completion of my order that they should have honored their word. I will never purchase anything from Hickory Farms again. I am surprised that $20 is worth losing a customer in addition to all of those that I will tell of this experience. This was the item for her. We then called Hickory Farms Customer Service and were informed that this item was out of stock 2 weeks prior. We never received an email or any notification that the item was out of stock We never received any email or notification that the package had shipped We never received any notification that the item was delivered We were notified by the recipient that an item was missing, NOTHING from Hickory Farms! When I talked to the customer service person, after he was not listening to my wife, he started the conversation with me with the phrase, “this is the way this is going to go”. ABSOLUTELY, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM HICKORY FARMS!!! I have called multiple stores and kiosks and all of them had the item in stock at that time. As far as I am concerned, the warehouse did not hold my inventory and shipped all of it out to the stores After the 3rd call, I was informed we could get a refund. I said I wanted the product for my mother. Ship it from a store! I was informed that the web and store businesses were 2 separate divisions, but both are Hickory Farms. I even had a person at one of the stores in IL state that they would ship it if they were instructed to do so from corporate. I have talked to a store regional manager in the Phoenix area, and she said she would ask her manager for a contact at corporate I could talk to, and no response. I have called web customer service about 5 times now, and no acceptable solution was given and no contact to discuss this with someone at corporate. Read moreI placed an order with hickory farms on Dec 21st 2020, order # WOO332667 it was the hearty party gift box, I paid $85.89 including shipping and handling. I never got updates about my order, On the 27th I wrote to the customer service and an agent told me my order had not shipped because it was not in stock yet, nobody informed me about that, so he suggested that I could either wait longer or have a refund; Furthermore, I requested a refund many times and no one answered me back, they completely ignored my request.
I called customer service Dec 31st and they said my order was going to arrive that day. When my family got the box they thanked me and sent me a picture of the box and when I saw it I noticed it was not the one I paid for. I paid $85.89 for the hearty party gift box and instead they got the farmhouse favorite gift box which is a huge difference in the amount of items and in price.
I wrote again and the agent said they got the box I ordered, I wrote back saying that he was wrong and I even sent him a picture of my confirmation email and he just kept saying the same thing to me, in other words, he didn’t want to help me. I need hickory farms to give me a refund on the price difference, I paid $85.89 and the one they got it’s on sale for $34.39, that’s all I am asking.
