We have bought furniture from Harris on several occasions now, furnishing our entire living, dining room, and bedroom. The furniture itself is great, good quality. The service from this store however is another complete story.
Our first visit was to get our dining and living room set. The visit itself was good, up until delivery. When they delivered they were missing a dining room chair. It is an Amish set so they explained it could take up to 8 weeks to replace...we were irked, but we are easy going people and said OK. We did not get that chair until 4 months later...with no explanation as to why.
We ordered a standing bedroom mirror from them as well, when it arrived and was unloaded from the truck they realized the mirror was broken. It had to go back and we had to wait another extended amount of time for replacement.
Now onto our third visit. My fiancee and I decided to give them another shot due to high praise and quality of furniture, we expressed our frustrations to the salesperson and he gauranteed those things never happen and it was down to bad Iuck on those deliveries and blamed the Amish company. Fine, whatever. We ordered our bedroom set, he explained that one nightstand had to be ordered and would take 4 weeks. Thats fine we said... Day of delivery arrives, the dresser we ordered is chipped on the front and they dont have the right color paint to fix it. I call them and they say they will have to order it from the manufacturer to fix....its been over 5 weeks and I have not heard about my nightstand or the paint.
I have been trying to call the store and the staff there will not even pick up the phone! Now we are going to have to drive down there to get answers in person.
If you want terrible and irresponsible service you can vist this store. Otherwise you should turn away and go in...
Read moreShould be Zero. Purchased a $2,000.00 reclining lift chair that started malfunctioning with in 10 days of delivery. We reached out to the manufacturer who made it clear they do not stand behind their product. After another month or so when the chair had stopped working totally, we reached out to Harris Furniture in Chichester where the chair was purchased. We told them the chair only worked for 10 days. We asked if we could return it. No. They sent out a repair person. At this point we were so sick of this $2,000.00 chair we were stuck with, we told the service person we did not want the chair repaired, if they would just put it in our basement and bring up our old chair, we would be happy. But no, they refused. A week and a half later they forced a repair person on us a second time. We asked again if they would l just bring up our old chair... No. What would it have cost Harris Furniture to have a delivery truck stop, when in the area, and try to make some very upset customers a little happier by doing what they were requesting, to try to make things right??? We have purchased from Harris Furniture in Chichester in the past....
Read moreRecently my husband and I had a great experience shopping at Harris Family Furniture! We had spent several weeks prior to finalizing our purchase with them visiting competing furniture stores, both large and small and by far felt the service and attention we received at Harris Family Furniture exceeded all the rest. They were competitive on price, financing and offer free delivery.
The interaction we had with our salesperson, Nikki couldn't have been better! She was very knowledgeable about their product lines, helping us to make an informed decision without any pressure to buy. We also appreciated all of her guidance on fabric selections for our new couch and two chairs. She was very personable and friendly, even helped entertain our 21 month old daughter. We would highly recommend visiting Harris Family Furniture and Nikki to anyone currently considering a...
