Rumpke - Chillicothe Recycling & Transfer Station — Local services in Chillicothe

We have been with rumpke too long. I have a long list of complaints. In the last 6 years that I've been with them. They are always faithful to pick up our neighbors trash I have to applaud them for that but I have had to call them multiple times and they would eventually pick it up or give an excuse as to why they didn't get it. For one saying we had chemicals on our trash the workers skin gets irritated. Which was a lie. Or we had more bags then accepted, another lie, or they picked it up at 630am and nothing was out there, another lie because we put our trash out the night before. This last time was it after 5 days of them promising to pick up my trash I moved on. Also beware when you call they raised our bill in a 6 year spam went from 79 to 129 every 3 months. Edit: I emailed Rumpke and answered Rumpke's blanket responses they send to everyone on the review section. I haven't heard 1 thing back from them! 👌 Glad to know you're willing to stand up for your current/past customers! Losers!

Rumpke doesn't pick up anything that is not bagged refuse in my area. They claim no large item pick-up either. $80+ for 3 months is robbery for residential customers who don't receive recycling or bulk item pick-up and I supply my own garbage cans! I called to lower my price and c.s. Claimed can only do that once per year. 2 billing cycles fter I did this, they raised it above $80.00 again. Can't blame it on fuel this time! I wish I could give 0 stars. This company bought out our trash contract with Pike Sanitation which we loved. They have been so difficult to deal with the entire time. The managers are so rude, unprofessional and unwilling to help. They can't pick up all winter and they automatically renew your contract without you knowing it for 3 years more. We are not able to get out of the contract no matter what without paying almost $800.00 . Also they can raise the price without your consent. Started out as $45.00 a month now 5 years later over $90.00 a month. So that times 6 months to get out of contract with fees and taxes and oh yeah $100.00 removal for them to pick up their container.
