This is specificly about a bad first visit to this field after a friend from Tac City invited me, and after this I can say I will probably not be returning.
My first complaint comes from waiting in line for forty minutes to get entry, when there are only nine people in front of us. When my friends and I get out on the field, we play a game of attack and defend. I am running a pistol and decide to move up to prevent the attackers from moving up so quickly. I do so and get out. As I am walking back the ref just yells at me to take my mag out and get off his field instead of specifying that i need to stay in the building while defending. I later find out that the refs name is Ephraim. Later that day I am waiting in line to get into the game and the same ref starts yelling that we should have dead rags. I had forgoten mine and said that i'll be ok taking the hits walking back. He then procedes to yell at me from a foot away that if I don't have a dead rag I cannot play on his field. I am fairly angry that he decided to yell intead of telling me i can't play without one and turn on my gopro to take video. He then yells that I am not to film him, I ask him why. He begins to say how he will not put up with my attitude, and thretens to kick me out. I simply walk away and sit that game out.
The next problem was when I loaned out a rifle to a friend and he had a barrel sock that was a sunglasses bag and and a plug that stuck into the end of the barrel, like the ones that come in a tm hi capa box. It was a bad idea and he should have been using a real one, but instead of pointing that out and telling him to go get an actual cover the ref yelled that this was unnaceptable and told him he could not play with this, even though he was able to play when a different ref told him it was okay. I try and tell my friend that I have an extra barrel sock, and ask the ref if he can go get it and still play, but the ref just thinks I'm trying to talk back to him and he makes both of us sit out for the next set of games .
The fields there are okay, but if you're not slipping on paint, you're tripping on the layers of BB's on the ground. People also do not call hits unless shot about five times. The bathrooms are also nasty as all heck. Save some money go to a better field, like tac city. Atleast they wont flip out when you...
Read moreOur family has always enjoyed heading out to SC village, for some paintballI when the weekend comes around I have even convinced my office to head out to the village for some team building exercises but recently I had an experience that like the strategically-placed paintball it left me with a really sore spot. My wife is the director of a preschool in Fountain Valley and they were hosting a preschool prom for which they set out to seek area businesses for donations to be auctioned or raffled off to raise money for repairs and upkeep. Because of their fun for all ages forum I decided to approach SC Village in regards for the purpose of a donation I submitted the requested paperwork my email and even left a hard copy weeks prior. After never hearing back yea or ney, I decided to call to check the status of our request, shortly before the event I started calling I was told repeatedly by multiple managers and or supervisor that someone would call "that day" and let me know either way, this went on for over a week. The last few days prior to the event I called increasingly concerned when I would find the time to go and pick the whatever the donation would be and I was told over and over that the owners were aware of our request and they were simply waiting for the ok. I would have not been upset with a simple decline because I understand not everyone can or wants to participate in every donation request they recieve didn't choose to donate, what I don't understand is why they chose to string us along for weeks only to blow us off the day before or event and ultimately refuse to offer even the shred of professionalism to even make an effort to get back to those loyal customers that have supported thier business and who have wilfully submitted the request in the way requested and don't give the requesting agencies the runaround. Know this when a businesses chooses to treat their loyal customers in a nonprofessional manner it does and will continue to reflect on their business in the future. A good business treats their customers with the same respect and loyalty they expect their customers to treat them, otherwise the relationship is forever damaged and eventually severed. Needless to say we have also canceled or...
Read moreAwesome! Been there 4 times now, completely satisfied with it every time, only for paintball though. (I've never played air soft) They have about 15 maps, (at least, those are te ones I've been to), and have about 4 Woodsball maps, and 3 Hyperball maps.
Max FPS is I think is about 380, but don't worry about the range, the maps are perfect for their usual 25 v 25 matches. 2 chronos are supplied, 3 shooting ranges, and CO2 and Air are also supplied.
Matches are based on 3 levels: Beginner, Intermediate and Expert/Professional. Those levels aren't necessarily solely defined by skill, but you can expect the corresponding skilled players to be there. What the levels ARE defined by are your gear and your standing. Beginners can only use Gravity-Fed (no cyclone-fed) hoppers, on any gun; Intermediates are allowed Electronic Hoppers, and Expert you have to be in and with your registered team to play in Expert I believe. (I've never played in Expert before though, so check their site.)
Matches are played with the entire skill level's participants in one big match at a time.
Bottom line:
Anyway, have fun, and I hope I...
