Dollar General — Local services in Choctaw

Normally I would rate this store five stars because of the manager and the little dark haired cashier. Saturday I had the misfortune of dealing with a hateful cashier. When I explained the problem and pointed out that there were people waiting on her to check them out..her response was why was I arguing with her over some change? Because the Change adds up. I purchased something marked $4.00, it rang up for $1.00, with the additional 50% it would of been 50 cents. Like the sign said but she kept telling me that it was a only 50% off. If that was the case it would of rang up for $2.00. I guess she is using that new math. I spent over $100.00 I am in there all the time. If she is working I will take my money to...

The store is always either closed or closing early. It’s a regular basis and highly inconvenient for the people who frequent this location. There is only 1 good employee that works there, and it is the older man who is always out front stocking and moving stuff while also running the register while the other ladies, including the manager, hide in the back or stay outside smoking. I feel bad for that man, but he’s the only reason this store functions when it does. Give him the manager position and take that hag of a blonde lady out of the equation and I bet this store would run...

OK, so I would like to amend my prior review. I've always said the employees here do their best despite the ownership. They certainly do. And, there is a new manager. This guy is definitely trying to turn this place around!! Nice guy. Actually took the time to ask for feedback. The store is clean, well stocked and employees are friendly. Appears to be thriving. I stop here often as it is convenient. Well done. I truly hope the ownership values the efforts. This location is a stand out...
