*Update - within a half hour of writing the review, the owner Joe called us. He was more than apologetic and willing to work with us to get us what we wanted. He gave us new pieces and had it to us within a week. Now that is customer service at its finest! He truly cares about his customers. We originally were not going to go back again. Joe changed our minds about the company and we will return in the future. Thank you, Joe!! We purchased a leather power reclining sectional and it was delivered today. The delivery crew were extremely rough on all the furniture in the truck, not just ours. They were rolling furniture around and shoved our couch out onto the lift gate. Some of the plastic was torn already and it was clear that they didn't care. When we brought it inside and unwrapped it, every single piece was damaged or broken and slush and mud poured out of the back of it! This is completely unacceptable. We called to see what could be done and they advised us that we could return it or pick out a different couch. We don't want a different couch, this is the one we want! We have spent a lot of time searching for a couch that we really liked and now we have it bit it's completely destroyed!

Most unorganized store. Was told at purchase by Tania it would be "door delivery" as i am disabled. Also to send her a text to check on it. I got no response. I said that was fine. I was called saying my purchase was in. As i called back I was greeted with "well i didnt call you." I was called for delivery and as I stated date, Angela was very nasty. She was not helpful and chuckled at me when I asked if I could have a delivery date sooner. I asked if I could possibly pick it up immediately and she waited until after to let me know warehouse is open only until 5. This has been the worst and nastiest experience I have ever had. Taking me out of my own character with some choice words. This place should work on their policies, communication, and their cuatomer service skills. I would never suggest this place over their nastiness and poor service skills. I did speak with another girl who i cannot remember her name, but she was very pleasant and she obviously doesnt belong there with those people. Buyer beware.

After 23 emails, 42 phone calls, 329 texts, 560 miles driven to and from the showroom, and 262 days, I have the furniture exactly as I ordered it. I spent $16,500 and $150 in delivery driver tips (our home had been destroyed by fire). This was not an insignificant sum for us. I learned two valuable lessons. One, if you are ordering custom furniture, find a salesperson that has experience with those manufacturers. Two, don't wait to ask to speak to a manager. I dislike conflict and waited too long. Ms. Johnny was an Angel put in my path when I needed it. Her professionalism and keen eye for decorating was amazing. The day I left their showroom after I met her, I felt lighter than I had in months. I still give this local business five stars. Mr Bright stepped into what had become an incredibly messy transaction, and did his best . His apology was absolutely sincere, and between him and Miss Johnny, it finally got sorted out. My furniture is beautiful and comfortable, and I believe it will last me 20 years.

UPDATE- 10-8-2020 I would like to thank Joe Bright, and Miss Johnnie for resolving this issue for me. As soon as Joe read this review, he spoke to me personally on his weekend off, to assure me he would work to get this resolved. He is a true man of his word, my sofa has been replaced, and it's absolutely beautiful!!

Thank you to, Joe Bright, Miss Johnnie and all of the staff at Dunk & Bright Furniture for taking the time to work with me and for being so caring. Nancy

I special ordered a sofa from Dunk & Bright, it was ordered in -the wrong color. When I tried to get this issue resolved, I was told that they had ordered the right color, even though I had a swatch of the correct color and it’s nothing like the sofa sitting in my living room.

I tried to work it out with my sales woman, but she kept telling me that she ordered the correct color. I have an actual swatch of the color it was supposed to be, and it is nothing like my swatch. She tried to tell me it was because age change the color of the swatch??? That was totally untrue as I had brought my swatch with me to their showroom to make sure I was getting the exact color I wanted....my color was right there on their swatch board. I suggested maybe I should speak with the owner, to try to get this straightened out. I was told “you don’t want to do that, he can get very unreasonable“. Needless to say I will be stuck with the wrong sofa color forever, and I feel that is very unfair. If perchance they stopped making my color I ordered, I should have been notified, not just had a sofa ordered in the wrong color so they could deliver/sell some thing. I will forever be unhappy with this sofa, and I feel the entire situation was unjustly handled!!

Being an interior decorator my whole life, I’ve never heard of the practices of, Dunk & Bright. If something is ordered wrong you FIX AND RESOLVE IT!

This sofa has thrown off every aspect of my room, nothing flows together anymore, because it’s the wrong color. It looks totally out of place. I even suggested that at their cost maybe they could give me an area rug that would tie everything back in together. That was not possible either, but, they could give me a “good deal on one”!

This was not my mistake, this was the mistake of the sales person. However, they did try to make it my mistake by ending up having to pay more for an area rug just to tie the room back in together… From the initial mistake that they made in ordering the incorrect color.

I strongly recommend that you do not shop at this store, they do not stand behind their product, their sales staff, or they’re selling...

Went into the store to buy a sectional and found one I was very pleased with. I purchased the sectional put a down payment and arrange for delivery for two weeks. I was told I would recieve a call to confirm my order and to be notified of any problems. I recieved a call early the following week, saying they have my order and would be there on time. Well as luck would have it I get a called the day before delivery telling me the item is not available for delivery and the person didnt know why. I called called the following day to have someone tell me the "cup holders are on back order" for my sectional, and it would now be 4 weeks for delievery. I decided to wait it out. 4 weeks go by and not one call from Dunk & Bright. Going into the 5th week I decide to call and speak with a manager. He does some research into the matter and tells me that the 'LANE' company has run out of fabric??? I them tell him how I was told it was cupholders, he responds with "Well it might be cupholders, I looked up the order and it said back ordered so I assumed fabric." So what he did was make up some random excuse. He then says well Im authorised to take 100 bucks off your order for the hassle. (which is a laughable 2.5%) Then says my order is still another 3 weeks out. Meaning from time of order to a POSSIBLE delivery I was looking at 9-10 weeks!!!! I said well I dont think 100 is fair if it wasnt for me calling you guys I still wouldnt know anything, And if someone would like to do better than 100 bucks off I would like to hear it and consider it, otherwise I would like to cancel my order. The manager said no more asked for my credit card number and gave me back my deposit. In my experience this was the WORST service of its kind!!!! Didnt even try to make me happy for a possible repeat sale! I worked in retail for a hardware store for 8 yrs and this kind of service would never happen. You always make the customer happy. How many customers talk about happy experiences about stores to their friends??? Now think of how many poor service experiences you hear about.... and you best believe I will spread the word of what...

Another fantastic experience with Dunk and Bright. My wife and I went there recently to purchase a rocker recliner for myself after having a hip replacement. As we walked in, we were immediately greeted by Molly T, an outstanding sales representative. She appeared familiar to us, but we weren’t sure how. It wasn’t until the end that we realized she was the sales representative who helped us get a captain’s bed for our master bedroom and a queen bed frame for our guest room a year and a half ago. Molly brought us back to where the recliners were and was willing to let us look at our own pace for fifteen minutes, instead we asked for her professional opinion. She explained the pros and cons of each of the recliners. I was able to sit in each, extend it back to see if I would fit, and get a feel for its fabric as well as construction. At the end we went with what Molly recommended, it wasn’t the cheapest, but it wasn’t the most expensive. It was one that would last us. There was no high pressure or rush. We were told to take our time before deciding. At the end we did spend a little more than we wanted but we also got the furniture protection plan (four cats in the house it was well worth it). We ended up picking up the recliner a few hours later at the distribution center. Another flawless experience. See separate post for that. This was our fifth time dealing with Dunk and Bright and they have never steered us wrong.

Overall, we spent 30 minutes in the store, 20 minutes picking up the recliner. For a day that started leaving the house at 9 am, we were home by noon. That included a stop for coffee and a stop at the local apple orchard for lunch. A fantastic day.

Oh, the recliner is fantastic, I have been having to sleep in a lift chair and now a recliner since the replacement. I got my first really good night’s sleep since the hip replacement. The problem is I don’t know who likes the recliner more,...
