Dinner Elf — Local services in Clarendon

The first interaction with Dinner Elf was not great and it went down from there. The first go around the chef was on time and came prepared for all of the meals requested. I had to be present to make sure questions about the kitchen and kitchenware were answered - that is understandable. The food made was at best low quality. I am not a picky person by any stretch of the imagination. The chef...fish was over cooked, other meals were bland. We had 2 additional scheduled visits and the chef called off last minute - like 1 hour before last minute (2weeks in a row). No reason given. Then we received an email asking us to get another Elf. Calls to the owner were less than informational. I was told that we were outside of her driving preference. But this does not answer the question as to why she waited last minute to cancel. Just finished enjoying my first meal from Dinner Elf and WOW! It’s amazing. Chef Michael showed up to my home today on time, was very professional and personable, and cooked us three amazing meals before he cleaned up and left. I am a busy working mom with 3 kids 4 and under and have been struggling to find the time to make healthy meals regularly for our family. Dinner Elf is definitely a luxury, but so valuable to me when I feel like I’m just barely keeping my head above water. Even if you don’t want to splurge Thanks on this regularly, this service would be great for occasional help on crazy weeks or would also make an incredible gift for new parents, people going through a hard medical diagnosis or loss. I can not say enough good things about Dinner Elf. I had heard about this company for years and was so busy with life, I did not take the time to really look into it. I was such a fool. This service has transformed my daily life and family. It was exactly what I didn't know I needed. We have been using it for 6 weeks and have sampled the recipes and used different elves. All have hit it out of the park. The meals are easy and perfect for my family of 6. I have been able to dial in on the sides and meals that will appeal to everyone. We have a variety of different dietary restrictions in my family (Keto, no meat, and an overall picky eater) and Dinner Elf is able to meet those needs/requests.
