I stopped in the store today because I had never been there before, I didn't really need anything but when I was in the store I was fascinated by the fact that it's not just a meat counter! Although the meat is beautiful! But they have simply everything that you may need, that being said I was asked at the meat counter if she could get me anything and I said no it was my first time in and I was just looking thank you. A few minutes later she came out with a bag with several smoked meat items in and walked towards me, I kind of shook my head, because I assumed she was looking for a different customer and she said no, It was for me, it was a welcome gift for the first time that I was there. I was absolutely astounded! The generosity and the sincerity of gifting a stranger with so much is unusual these days. The store is really nice, the employees are so nice! They added a surcharge at 3.5% on to my purchase of a hind quarter of beef $868.93, with a charge of $30.41 she ripped me off for $30.41 for using my credit card, even though I told them that I could write out a check they said no credit cards are fine. I talked to lady after purchase and she said all businesses in Clarion do this well there store is not even in the borough of Clarion they are outside the limit’s of Clarion. I can see a complaint being filed with the B. B. B. And possible legal action on my part. I never saw a sign although she states there is one there, I can guarantee you it’s not at the credit card machine. I called her up a day later and asked her to void the credit card purchase and let me write a check and she said too late B. S. this is nothing but a sharp practice, I will never ever go through this stores again and purchase anything...

My goodness is this ever the best meat market/butcher shop I have ever been at. A fantastic selection of just awesome meats. From chicken wings to your favorite cut of steak, this is THE place to get it. Prices are very reasonable for local pork/beef as well. I was just there and got a pound of bacon, a pound of ground beef, two NY strips, two stuffed chicken thighs, two packs of Appalachian jerky and a watermelon and it cost me 50 bucks. And Chad is among the nicest most friendly men I have ever had the pleasure to know. I HIGHLY recommend checking out his sweet bourbon pork chops and bacon. Simply amazing. The staff is very friendly and courteous also. There's also a lot of sauces and things and deli cheese and other items as well. In my opinion, this is the best place around to buy meat.
