Dollar General — Local services in Clarksburg

Wonderful staff, however the store is always blocked by unloaded bins of products and the sales or clearance items that are plenty in other stores are hard to find or non existent. Blocked aisles do not allow disabled customers to get through....my walker would not fit down 2 aisles!....I am adding to this review in hopes that Dollar General main offices open their eyes and ears. Today at 3pm I stopped for an item needed. Multiple aisles were blocked and as I am disabled the aisles are dangerous! The young gentleman working had been alone in the store since 6am with no way to use a broken restroom. I offered to stand at the desk for him( I'm a former police officer) and he said he would lose his job if I enabled him to use the bathroom. Withholding necessary human function breaks is Illegal.! You can not expect to hire people to work for only $10.50 /hr and only give them 10 hours per week. Our McDonalds pays $22/hr. This store is wide open for theft or a disaster..and as must as I love the staff I've met....I've been followed around the store by what appears to be a drug addict asking me to buy him food! Wake up corporate 😡

Back again in August 2023. The aisles are still blocked and a waiting lawsuit for any disabled person who would fall or get stuck. I myself bumped a display with the end of my cane...sending English muffin packages everywhere. I stayed and cleaned them all up without any offer of assistance of the staff...who were oblivious to what was happening in their own store!😡

Back Aug 22nd hoping for a change. The aisles...all of them , are now blocked and completely unsafe. You can fit a cart through, and as I am disabled , this is a lawsuit waiting to happen! Several customers in the store with staff unable to get the stock off loading carts and still ring people out!. Corporate Dollar General needs to hire a stock team to come in, completely unload and do it while the shop is closed...for safety sake. If I fall again, I'm planning on...

The two lady's working in that store today treat ALL the customers very rude. I've NEVER BEEN TREATED that way in ANY STORE IVE BEEN IN . It was terrible the cashier was extremely rude to this older gentleman and then we asked her for Marlboro menthol cigarettes she gave us Marlboro Red and I told her that they were the wrong ones she started shaking her head and mumbling under her breath then the girl in the parking lot that was sweeping and smoking was making people move their cars so she could sweep under their car instead of waiting for them to leave the store never in my life seen any thing like this I believe someone needs to do something about it I will never ever go back to that store And if I didn't have to leave this 1 star rating to leave the message I wouldn't even have gave them a 1-star rating I would have gave them a...

I can never say enough good about Dollar General store it has really grown with the times from whenever I first went into a Dollar General in ebensburg Pennsylvania. I always find great deals. I can always find something that I need weatherby groceries or small hardware or grocery bags or glad plastic containers makeup bread clothing paper towels toilet paper detergent dish soap cleaning supplies. It's not Walmart but if it has what I need...
