It looks like I am the only one, who has extremely bad experience with this cemetery. On November 5, 2014 I ordered a monument for my husband. Almost a year passed, I don't have any monument and not able to have my money back. The whole year I have promises from Harley Felstein by phone, personally and in writing that it will be installed in 3-4 months, in a month, again in 20 days, even in several days. I had to fly to MD from FL 3 times as he promised it will be installed till this particular day and I will be able to see it. I hired a lawyer and a month ago he was promised by Felstein to have information IF THE STONE HAVE ARRIVED, it is after 10 mo of ordering and waiting!!! The director of the cemetery Sheldon Grosberg doesn't want to talk to me. Can't order a monument in another place as not able to pay $4000 again and not sure if the cemetery will not sabotage installation. Unfortunately I have paid in full all monument and funeral expenses, including installation.
Please don't order ANYTHING in this place. They may screw up your funerals (they did it to me), overcharge you for any order ($500 for the ceramic medallion instead of $145 maximum) and they lie just to your eyes.
No sympathy to anybody...It is very painful when you aren’t able to do the last thing for...
Read moreIf you believe that you may like a cemetery , this probably is the closest thing to it I could imagine. I like it at the three different levels. First, esthetically - it is a beautiful combination of charm and dignity. Well maintained. Second, as an effective service provider - we have been dealing largely with Slomo, and he was quite helpful and managad to make the entire administrative side of the funeral stress-free. Everything was done by the book, on schedule, and with due respect. It was my first experience of arranging the funeral in this country and I needed and received a lot of helpful explanation and guidance. In addition, I was pleasantly surprised by the prices, which have ben quite affordable. Third, it is a Jewish cemetery, which is surprisingly democratic and welcoming. It serves everyone who self-identified herself as a Jew and their family members. No questions asked. In my humble opinion, this is the way it should be. Not just at the cemetery. Thank...
Read moreSince 2008, we have buried both of my parents, my mother-in-law and my brother-in-law, who died out of state without a Will, creating a level of complexity that was a bit challenging for all parties, and yet the Garden of Remembrance once again stepped up when we needed them. In each case, we received exemplary service. Every single staff person, as well as the Executive Director, Glenn (and the prior Executive Director), have always treated us with the utmost care and kindness. While I'm not looking forward to joining the rest of my family anytime soon, I can say in all honesty that I'm comforted by the fact that my husband and I, as well as my two sisters, have purchased plots in the same section and know that when our time comes, our loved ones who are handling the arrangements will be treated with the same care and kindness with which we have always...
