I’ve been a resident at their sister property, Adar, for over a year and experienced countless issues—most notably a roach infestation and extremely poor management. Maintenance was a nightmare: workers often arrived unannounced, spoke little to no English, and clearly lacked proper training or knowledge to resolve even basic problems. Hoping for a better living experience, we moved to Golden Gate Luxury Apartments. Unfortunately, that decision has only led to more disappointment. Not only are we still dealing with roaches, but now we have a rat infestation. Yes—rats. One morning, my son was terrified after seeing a large rat in our home. That kind of experience is traumatizing, especially for a child. I’ve made multiple attempts to have these issues addressed before resorting to a public review, but enough is enough. I’m sharing this to protect others from making the same mistake. This is far from “luxury living”—it’s a health and safety hazard. Proceed with caution.

I still had to pay my movers, purchase a storage for the weekend and stay in a hotel until Sunday. I would have never signed my lease if I had another option but, because it’s my only I had to take it. No apologies, no reimbursement no nothing! This was the worst moving experience I ever had. At the very least they could have informed they would be closed PROPERLY. Courtney sent me an email after 5pm the night before my move in. Then lied and said she called me. Do not come to this place, you deserve better!

Courtney was just amazing during the whole process of my move in. Courtney was very supportive and helped me get moved into my very first townhome in a timely manner. Though I had some MAJOR problems with the first unit that they decided to move me into, everything ended up falling in place and I was relocated to a new unit without any problems or confusion from the rent office and they were very accommodating and understanding about my rent situation from the first 2-3 months of me staying since I had to be relocated to a new unit and the process had taken place in the middle of two different rent periods. (The accounting manager “FERN” or whatever her name who works out of Florida is just absolutely horrible. Literally no one else gave me a problem but her. She tried to make me pay $2200 in less than a month for 2 months of rent and then threatened to evict me if I did not pay the whole amount. She does not deserve that title or that power if she is going to make people’s lives a living hell. If only you knew why I had to relocate units, you would feel the same way I did and acted the same as I did.) But in the end MY GIRL COURTNEY, her co worker (cant quite remember her name), and Shiran were absolutely wonderful and helped me get situated comfortably. But I absolutely love my Townhome. Its very spacious, I love my spacious outside deck thats fenced in. My kitchen is nice with updated appliances just not enough counter space for my needs of cooking but I manage. I also dont have as much storage space as I would like in my house but luckily, my 2nd bedroom is my office so I just use the 2nd bedroom closet for storage. The thing I love most is my HARDWOOD FLOORS! I hate carpet so much. But I haven’t had any problems with my new unit since relocating. I love the fact that we have 24/7 security and the complex is gated. All the guards are nice and welcoming and do a great job of keeping the community safe and secure. Maintenance is absolutely wonderful, they come within hours or the next day when you reach out to them about a problem within your unit. The complex is quiet and everyone is friendly plus they all mind their business. The complex is dog friendly to just about any breed as well which is plus if you own big dogs. The pool is beautiful but unfortunately due to COVID-19 the pool was closed. (Bummer) Plenty of parking for you and guests. The surrounding areas are okay, ideally not the best but nowhere near horrible. It has gotten a lot better over the years and still progressing. Everything is pretty close, no further than a couple mile drive to get essentials. Walmart is right up the street, CVS is within walking distance. And if you ride MARTA, there is a bus stop right in front of the complex which is a plus for Marta Riders. Overall my move in experience was okay, lengthy and rough at times but we managed to get through it. Let me not forget to mention Courtney’s name again because she was the one who helped me out the most and was accommodating, patient, and understanding of everything. Very good human being with a high positive energy. I hope she stays until my lease is up. She really is a good fit for this complex and her hard work should not go unrecognized. Made good friends with her, management, security, and maintenance. I sure my stay at Golden Gate Townhomes form this point on...

So this is my honest review after being a resident here since September of 2024. First and foremost I will say the inside of my townhouse is well equipped. Nice doors, granite countertops, laminate wood floors in the entire place, nice fixtures in both bathrooms, and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. With that being said…when I initially moved in, maintenance was on top of any requests I had. They were usually completed within a day. Seven months later and getting any maintenance issues taken care of is almost impossible. My fence is falling apart and I have a leak in my roof in the guest bedroom. I put in requests for those items 3 weeks ago and they have not done anything with either. The property has trash everywhere which is really sad. Parking lots, mailbox areas, just trash all over the property. It’s supposed to be a gated community but the gates are always open and the so called security is non existent. They let everyone in regardless of whether you live here or not. Landscaping is horrific! Weeds everywhere. The landscaping in front of the townhouses and apartments could use a good mulching and flowers to spruce things up, it just looks really bad. Broken fence areas all over the property so stray dogs are on the property. I don’t even feel comfortable walking my dogs because of the stray dogs. We pay for valet trash but trash doesn’t consistently get picked up. As much as I hate moving, I will most likely leave when my lease is up. The property wasn’t this bad when I moved in but is just a real eyesore now. Pretty sad because it has a lot of potential.

UPDATED REVIEW: The old property manger Bryan was the main reason the property had gone downhill the way it had. Since he has left the new property manager Shiran Biggs has done a great deal of work, in an effort to get the complex looking good. I’m currently dealing with an issue that she has been extremely accommodating about, and is doing an awesome job making sure it is handled appropriately. The leasing agents all seem great too. I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with Stephanie and she is amazing. It all starts with the property manager and their staff. Again, the new property manager a Shiran Biggs is doing an awesome job!! So I now would recommend...

I would like to take the time to send out high kudos To Ms. Shannon Blake, Shirani, Claudia.

I cannot say enough good things of the way Ms. Blake went the extra mile to accommodate my needs. Note I had special needs 3 Corp. apartments and a few tenants she went the extra mile, to accommodate any special need I had to make our employees transitions as comfortable as possible. Her customer service skills are above and beyond what anyone should expect anywhere. It's always a pleasure to speak to her and her disposition is always positive. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to meet her and her staff. It was because of her customer service that I chose an apartment that was 35 miles away from our job site!!!! because great customer service and the luxurious apartments and facility was more important than 20 miles closer and 300 dollars cheaper!!! That is when you know you have a person working for your company that is worth every penny and more.

The amazing thing is that the customer service Excellency does not end with Ms. S.B, Ms. Shirani, also was very helpful n courteous. She always has a smile and is willing to help. She has great personality and knowledge of her work. She is a great team player with Ms. Shanon Blake. I'm blessed to've meet her.

Let's not forget Ms Claudia whom is great with her phone customer service skills. She is very serviceable and prompt at executing her mission over the phone.

Finally I want to say how wonderful the apartments are, they are big comfortable, modern, sophisticated selection of appliances and have so many amenities in the complex plus excellent security gate system. I love their tennis court, wonderful swimming pool and family center it's amazing that I found this wonderful jewel of luxury apartments.

Thank you to such an awesome team stay focus keep working together in unity and always always keep that wonderful customer service.

PS That doesnt mean customers r always right!!! Lol some can b a nitemare!! Hope I wasnt one. 🤣😂😁 BTW let's NOT forget Salvador n his crew on point with their service call. Very warm n professional!! The security gate officers are AWESOME n even the curbside trash pick up...
